Destiny arrived on the scene at Llanview High and befriended Matthew Buchanan, where she stuck up for and stood by him after a car accident paralyzed Matthew from the waist down.
Set on helping her new friend, who she has an apparent crush on, Destiny went to her brother Shaun and begged him to help her locate their brother, who could help Matthew. Though Shaun refused, bitter that their brother Greg left them to follow fame, Destiny managed to get a hold of Greg, who with Tea's help was granted the right to operate on Matthew!
As Destiny continued to stand by Matthew, as well as lying to her parents to go visit him in London, her feelings for him grew deeper.

When Dani goes into art class, she finds a note on the floor, from Cris when he was back in high school, asking Jessica to meet him at the ball field. In front of the class, Dani patronizes Cris about being involved with the class's oldest student, but Cris snatches the letter and tells Dani, as well as everyone, that he's offering extra-credit if they sign up for Langston's musical. The bell rings, and Cris keeps Dani after - to give her detention. Dani snaps at Cris, who replies, "You sound like Todd." Dani denies being like her father, so Cris challenges her by saying, "Then start acting like a human being!"
Still in the hallway, Langston gets hot when a text message from Ford comes in. Along with a picture of his abs, he asks Langston to meet him in his office. Suddenly, Starr appears, sees the photo and asks, "Oh, my, God! Are you sexting?" Starr thinks the text was from Markko, and Langston doesn't deny it. She gives Starr a lie about having some errands to run and convinces her to handle the signup for her musical. Later, Markko shows up, wondering where Langston is. Starr suggests she might have gone to the diner, and Markko rushes off, leaving Starr faced with Destiny and Matthew, who agree to signup. Blair joins them to say hi, and to turn in some papers to the office, then heads off to see Cris.
Across the room, Greg informs Rachel that the hospital board is going to be investing Schuyler for signing out the labor inducing drug. Greg gets a call about Sierra Rose's surgery then relays to Rachel the ramifications of Schuyler giving Stacy the drug. When Rachel thinks back to finding the drug, and giving it to Tea, Greg wonders if she's hiding something. Rachel defends Schuyler then is saved by the bell when Destiny appears and rants about Matthew giving her the 'just friends line' - like Rachel gave to Greg! While Rachel and Destiny talk about Matthew and Dani, Greg buys his old fling, Vivian, a drink and informs her that he's serious about Rachel. When Shaun joins them, and passionately kisses Vivian, Greg's shocked to see that Vivian hasn't been pining after him at all. Greg and Shaun's parents arrive, and though Rachel thinks Mrs. Evans is happy to see her - she's really excited to see Vivian. Greg warns Rachel not to let his mother get to her.
Later, Snoop arrives at Capricorn and chats with the Evans clan. On her way to the bathroom, Rachel spots Tea and says, "Greg thinks I know something." Tea suggests that Rachel come clean. Across the room, Starr, Cole and Markko tell Blair about Langston staying back to watch Hope. From different areas of the club, Todd, Bo and Nora watch Matthew and Dani - until Snoop takes the stage and sings his hit single, "I Wanna Rock," off his new "Malice In Wonderland" CD. Snoop makes his way through the crowd and dances with all of Capricorn's patrons.
