SCHUYLER JOPLIN'S HISTORY
Llanview's newest faculty member appeared on the canvas on January 9, 2009. Though he and Starr Manning had a rocky start, they both shared their connection and vowed to not allow it to interfere in their student/teacher relationship.
However, after Star developed a crush on him, Schuyler had to push her away but ultimately lost his job after being accused of having an affair with his student.
Schuyler's old fling, Stacy Morasco, came to town, and though he wanted to reconnect with her, Stacy was infatuated with Rex Balsom. Schuyler ended up becoming friends with Stacy's sister, Gigi, and helped her uncover the truth - that Stacy hadn't been Shane's real donor.
Now, faced with a crush on Gigi, and knowing that Rex lied to her about sleeping with Stacy, Schuyler is torn with what to do with the information.

Friday, November 20 2009: The Unsuspecting Father...
After Rex leaves, Schuyler appears, and Gigi lets him in - and informs him that Jared is dead. Schuyler wonders what he can do to help, but Gigi admits he shouldn't even be there. Schuyler agrees, but before he leaves, he goes over his conversation with Roxy, at Rodi's, and the fact that he's almost sure that Kim and Stacy overheard. Gigi knows it's only a matter of time before they tell Rex. Suddenly, Roxy comes through the door, starts punching Schuyler for being with Gigi again then warns that Kim and Stacy are on the hunt for Gigi's head! Gigi agrees to tell Rex the truth, when he gets back from seeing Natalie, then informs Roxy that Jared is dead. Roxy is shocked, and guzzles from her flask, then heads to the hotel to get to Rex - before Stacy and Kim do! Schuyler leaves too, hoping he can talk Stacy out of causing more problems for Rex.
While Kim and Stacy are adjusting Stacy's fake baby belly, they try to figure out how to have Rex find out about Gigi and Schuyler's affair - and Schuyler barges into the loft and catches Stacy with her shirt up!
Tuesday, November 17 2009: Her Quest To Keep Them Apart...
When Roxy storms into Rodi's, Schuyler asks if she ratted Gigi out to Rex, for spending the night in his room, but Roxy assures him she didn't, especially with what Rex is going through now, as Stacy and Kim listen from the end of the bar. Later, Roxy admits to Schuyler how sick she feels for having to tell Rex what she did today then expresses her thanks for 'him' being dead. Roxy warns Schuyler not to mess with Gigi - because Rex is going to need her now more than ever.
