Back at her motel room, just as Charlie leans in to kiss Viki, Gigi and Shane come out of the room across the hall, claiming they just came from seeing a friend. After Gigi leaves, Viki and Charlie head into their own rooms, as Marcie hangs out the do not disturb sign!
In Paris, Texas, Marcie asks Gigi, “I’m looking someone, Alice.” After Gigi says Alice got fired, Marcie cries, “I’ve been driving all night to get here.” As Marcie goes into hysterics, Gigi offers, “As a mother, I’m willing to help you with whatever Alice was going to do for you.” After Marcie claims Alice was going to hide her and Tommy, Gigi thinks Marcie is on the run from an abusive husband to which ‘Sally’ doesn’t deny! Gigi then expresses knowing the perfect place for her to hide out!
In Texas, although Viki wants to finish her shift, Noelle and Gigi push her out the door so Viki can have plenty of time to get ready for her date! Later, when Viki arrives back at the diner, Gig shakes her head then says, “You can’t go out like that.” Just as Charlie arrives with flowers, Gigi helps Viki loosen up a bit then the couple heads out on their date!
In Texas, when Charlie asks Viki on a date, Viki asks, “Why me?” After Gigi briefly interrupts to thank Viki for covering for her, Charlie flatters Viki by thanking her for being nice to him. Though Viki initially turns Charlie down, and claims to want to remain single, Charlie appears to back off. Back at the counter, Viki is concerned about Gigi not having insurance for her son and offers, “If you need – ” However, Gigi says she has it covered then reminds Viki how sweet Charlie was to Shane and persists to encourage her to go out with him. Just as Charlie is leaving, Viki rethinks her decision then asks Charlie, “Is it too late for me to change my mind?” Happily, Charlie replies, “It isn’t too late at all.”
When Viki arrives at the Bonjour Café in a great mood, Gigi and Noelle suggest it’s due to Viki spending the night with Charlie! Just as Viki explains that she merely showed Charlie to the motel, and didn’t spend the night with him, Charlie shows up and asks, “What’s so funny?” With Charlie seated at the counter, Moe gets in on the fun until Viki laughs and says, “You’re all behaving like children!”
When Charlie gives Viki a hefty tip, Gigi tells Viki, “He likes you! Are you just going to let him walk out of here?" Although Viki claims Charlie didn’t peak her interest, Gigi apologizes and basically says she’s living through Viki – having promised herself a long time ago that she wouldn’t get hooked up with a man for the sake of her son Shane. While Viki understands Gigi’s position, she explains that it would take someone really special to lure her back into the dating scene. Just as Viki adds on, “He would have to have a nice laugh,” Charlie’s laugh reaches Viki’s ears!
Later, as Viki is walking Charlie out, Noelle walks into the Café – with Gigi’s son Shane in tow. When Noelle explains finding Shane with a black eye, Gig demands to know where Shane got it! With Viki and Charlie watching on, Shane explains that a mean kid in class was picking on him because he doesn’t have a dad. After Gigi reminds her son that his daddy died a hero, she puts a smile on his face by saying she’ll march on over to this mean little boy’s house and knock his mama silly should he pick on her boy again! Suddenly, Charlie goes to Shane and gives him some tips on how to defend himself next time, leaving Viki impressed with Charlie’s kindness!
At the Bonjour Café, while Moe screams at Gigi, Viki welcomes a new customer to the diner. When Charlie can’t seem to make up his mind, he asks Viki to join him and help him pick out his order! After Viki gives Charlie her recommendation, Gigi jokes with her about the ‘new guy’, causing Viki to look at Charlie in a new light! Though Moe butts in and reprimands Viki for getting friendly with the customers, Viki makes him aware she’s the reason Charlie ordered the ‘Blue Plate Special’ then tells Moe, “So put a sock in it!” Later, over his dessert and coffee, Charlie tells Viki he’ll be staying in Paris for a little – and Viki suggests the motel across the street, the one she stays at!
After Viki hangs up with Natalie, Gigi questions whether Viki is okay and is surprised to hear that Viki has a daughter. “What else have you been keeping from me?” Gig asks in shock, to which Viki replies, “I have four kids.” Over a conversation about Viki’s children, Gigi asks about Viki’s children’s father to which talk of her hatred of Dorian comes up and Viki admits she’s searching for a ‘new life’ and happy to just enjoy the ride for the moment. Suddenly, Moe interrupts Gigi and Viki's conversation and points Viki to a new awaiting customer named Charlie.
In Paris, Texas, Viki continues thriving as a waitress at the Bonjour Café! Suddenly, when Gigi arrives at the diner, Moe snaps at her for being late! Although Moe fires her, Gigi ignores him and confides in Viki that she had a little trouble with her son Shane at home. As Viki tries to give Gigi advice, Gigi hands Viki some lottery tickets with hopes for a win! After Gigi loses at the ticket, without Viki revealing her true fortune, she tries to explain to Gigi that money doesn’t always buy happiness.
