Over at Rodi's, Kim taunts Gigi when she tries to take her order - saying she'll take a Schuyler Joplin! Gigi informs her that Schuyler isn't there then tells Kim to leave her and her family alone! However, Kim keeps pushing, saying she asked Schuyler out, but Gigi doubts he'll give her the time of day. Kim puts her order in then heads to the bathroom to freshen up - before Schuyler gets there!
Schuyler arrives, and Gigi points out that Kim is there to see him. However, after Gigi witnesses Schuyler accept Kim's date invitation, she asks Schuyler, privately, "Are you out of your mind?" While Schuyler tries to justify going out with Kim to Gigi, who bashes Kim, Kim calls Stacy to let her know their plan is working - and Gigi is jealous as ever! Schuyler says he can't have Gigi, and respects her being with Rex, leaving Gigi to warn that Kim and Stacy are up to something - and trying to involve him. "I have to move on," Schuyler says, and Gigi makes him promise to be careful. Once he walks away, Gigi glares at Kim, who is telling Stacy, "Gigi's smoking, and where there's smoke there's fire."
Lionel Richie Rocks Ultraviolet!
At Rodi's, Schuyler compliments Gigi on her outfit, as he assures her he'll be fine to cover for her at Rodi's while she heads to the Lionel Richie concert.
Gigi arrives, and Kim and Stacy watch as Rex talks to Gigi about getting Schuyler a job at Rodi's. Kim tells Stacy to enjoy the show then rushes off to ask Schuyler out on a date! Though Gigi wonders who Rex heard the news from, Rex asks, "I'm wondering why I didn't hear it from you?" Gigi explains that she was going to tell him, but just found out within the hour, then informs that Schuyler will be staying in Llanview - and that she told Schuyler that he would be fine with it. "Was I wrong?" Gigi asks, to which Rex claims he would have offered Schuyler a job at his bar then assures Gigi that he trusts her.
At Ultraviolet, Rex introduces Lionel Richie, featuring Jeremih, as the musical sensation sings his new song "Just Go."
No! No!
Schuyler arrives at Rodi's and admits to Gigi that he's been banned from teaching at Llanview public schools - forever! Gigi brings up how he wanted to be a doctor then suggests he go for it, especially after Schuyler admits he was halfway through medical school before he got kicked out for drugs. Over talk of disappointing his mother, and the possibility of her still being alive if it wasn't for her having to hide what he did at the hospital, Gigi tells him to finish school and make his mother proud. Schuyler says he'll make the transfer arrangements to Llanview U then agrees to help out tonight at Rodi's - since they are so swamped, which is why Gigi can't leave for the concert at Ultra Violet. However, when Schuyler is offered a permanent job, if tonight's trial works out, he worries Rex will have a problem with it, to which Gigi brings up Rex's proposal, and how he promised not to have issues with their friendship.
Though Gigi thinks Rex will be fine with Schuyler working there, she helps him look online for a higher paying job, but when they can't find one, Gigi says, "Just take the bartender job here." Kim enters, overhears Gigi assuring Schuyler that Rex will be fine with him working there then rushes off unseen. Schuyler agrees to take the job!
The Verdict Is In!
Still in the park alone, on bended knee, Rex asks Gigi to marry him, but she wants to know why he'd pick this precise moment to propose. Though Rex talks about all that they've missed, Gigi realizes that Rex overheard what she was saying to Schuyler - and that's the reason he proposed. Rex admits he wishes she would come to him with her worries, not Schuyler, and again asks Gigi to marry him - but Gigi refuses then tries to explain that she wants to wait - and do it for the right reasons…
Little do they know, Kim and Stacy are across the park, spying on Rex and Gigi, thinking that there's trouble in paradise. They watch as Gigi kisses Rex goodbye, and Stacy refuses to let Gigi win, even though Kim begs her to forget about Rex. Stacy vows to stay in Llanview and fight for Rex! "He needs his baby," Stacy says. "And he needs me. I can make him love me." Kim agrees to help Stacy make it happen!
Visions Of You...
During a jog in the park, Schuyler meets up with Gigi, who tries to convince Schuyler that Rex is okay with them being friends. Stacy's pregnancy test comes up, and Gigi admits that she let her theories go - because she thinks Rex wants to be happy about the baby, and she doesn't want to make him feel as though he has to act any differently around her. Gigi hopes that Stacy can turn into a real mom, and Schuyler agrees with Gigi, that Rex can't help falling in love with his child. Gigi admits she's afraid that Rex will spend all of his time with his new baby and will have nothing left for her and Shane.
