Still at the hospital, after Michael says he wants to try another transplant with Shane, Rex calls Stacy an angel and says, "She saved Shane before, she can do it again!" When Michael wants to take Stacy to extract her stem cells, she rushes off, pretending she's sick, leaving Gigi to say, "She's going to feel a lot worse by the time we're done with her." Michael coaxes Stacy from the bathroom, and Stacy finally agrees to have her stem cells harvested tonight - after she goes home to pack an overnight bag. Rex promises Gigi and Shane that he'll follow Stacy when she goes to get the stash of stem cells. Before Stacy leaves, Rex tells Stacy that he doesn't want to lose her, leading Stacy to ask, "Do you love me?" Rex admits he does, hugs Stacy then Gigi thanks her sister for helping Shane.
After Stacy leaves, Rex gives Gigi a kiss then rushes after Stacy, leaving Gigi to say, "Go get our blood." Michael and Shane rejoin Gigi, who is ecstatic to hear that Shane's real tests came back - Shane is doing great!
Let's Get It On!
Just as Stacy is about to drag Shane and Rex to the hospital, Gigi and Michael arrive at the carriage house. Though Gigi claims she flew in Michael from Seattle to look at Shane, Stacy accuses her of using Shane to one up Rex! Michael interrupts after looking over Shane, saying that he wants to bring Shane to the hospital for tests. After Rex and Stacy head out first, Shane is happy that Stacy bought their act, but Gigi reminds him, "Now we have to convince her you're dying." Shane reassures her by saying, "Piece of cake!"
Once at the hospital, Michael takes Shane for 'tests', as Stacy comforts Rex - with Gigi watching on. After Rex sends Stacy to get him coffee, he runs to give Gigi a kiss then says, "I'll be glad when this is over. We won't have to pretend anymore!" Stacy comes back in looking for her purse asking, "What're you pretending?" Rex covers, claiming he was telling Gigi that they are no longer together then says he's ready to try again at love - with Stacy! After Gigi goes out into the hallway, sarcastically saying she has to throw up, Stacy is surprised that Rex professed his feeling for her - and Rex assures Stacy that he has more surprises planned for their future too!
Out in the hallway, Gigi runs into Michael, who is happy to help trap Stacy - and is furious at what Stacy has done. They briefly talk about Marcie being pregnant then Michael goes to check on Shane, who is playing video games!
Later, Michael and Shane rejoin Gigi, Rex and Stacy, and Michael informs them all that Shane's Leukemia is back! As Shane cries, Rex says, "Thank God we have Stacy!" Rex goes to Stacy, thankful that she can help his son!
Spreading The Word...
Arriving at the Angels Square Hotel, Gigi calls Rex, where they briefly talk about Stacy, then she heads up to Brody's room to fill him in on the plan to make Stacy believe that Shane is sick again. After Gigi leaves, Brody shows Jessica the letter he received from the academy, and when they open it, he finds he's been accepted into the academy! Brody looks forward to his future, and moving forward with her, and Jessica knows it's time for her to move forward too. Over talk of Hope, Jessica knows she has to face Starr and Cole.
In his room, Gig tells Schuyler that Rex slept with Stacy - and that she doesn't know what she would have done without him. Gigi kisses Schuyler - then Schuyler wakes up! Shortly after, Gigi visits Schuyler, to inform him of their plan, then rants about Stacy saying that she slept with Rex. When Schuyler wants to know if Gigi forgave Rex, Gigi explains that Stacy was lying - because Rex said so! Schuyler almost tells Gigi the truth then thinks better of it - and accepts Gigi's hug of thanks for being such a good friend.
As Rex is trying to stop Stacy, Gigi arrives home with Michael!
Not Who He Appears To Be...
At the carriage house, Gigi asks Rex if he slept with Stacy, and just as Rex is about to tell Gigi the truth Shane arrives home - and is shocked to hear the truth about his parent's breakup! Shane feels awful for believing the things Stacy said to him then cries, "I'm so sorry, Mom," as he falls into Gigi's arms. Shane wants them to be a family again, and Rex promises they will be, but they have to trick Stacy into giving them back the extra stem cells first. Though they don't want to pretend that Shane has had a relapse, Shane wants to do it! Once Shane is in bed, Rex calls Stacy to say that he's staying at Gigi's tonight, on the couch, because Shane has a cold then hangs up. Gigi pushes Rex to finish their earlier conversation, to which Rex lies and says he didn't sleep with Stacy! Gigi is so relieved, she even sits down to share some ice cream when Shane reemerges.
