BO BUCHANAN'S HISTORY
Bo Buchanan arrived in Llanview in 1979 unaware that he was a Buchanan. However, his true identity was unveiled after Bo uncovered his biological father, Asa, in a lie. Throughout the years, Bo has had his shares of losses, from wives to children.
It all started after he married Delila Ralston. Bo and Didi were taken hostage by a crazed man, Patrick London, who underwent plastic surgery in order to look like Bo and take over his life. During the ordeal, Didi was electrocuted and died in Bo's arms. Bo would then go on to marry Sarah Gordon who was later kidnapped and presumed dead. Although he would never get used to the devastation in his life, Bo never gave up. Just when he found love for a third time and married Cassie Callison, Sara returned from the dead and she and Bo reunited. But not for long... A year later Sara died in a hit and run accident leaving Bo to grieve her death again.
A few years later, Bo was overjoyed to find out he had a grown son. Drew Buchanan made Bo proud when he followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Llanview PD. However, Bo's life again took an overwhelming turn for the worse when Drew was shot and killed in the line of duty.
Out of all the women in Bo's life, his love for Nora Hanen is the most memorable. It was Nora who got him through the loss of his son by giving Bo another child, only to have him crushed again when Lindsay Rappaport found out that Nora had an affair and switched the paternity results to say that Sam Rappaport was the father of Nora's child, ultimately ending Bo's love affair with Nora forever. It later came out that Matthew Rappaport was indeed Bo's son.
However, after losing his father, and his job, Bo was faced with some inner demons after Lindsay Rappaport betrayed his love once again - and after Bo was sent back through time, to 1968, with Rex Balsom to face the man who hurt him the most Asa!
Bo's hardest challenge came after Matthew was paralyzed in a car accident. Not only was he trying to deal with the pain of watching his son manage, he was trying to deal with his resurfacing feelings for Nora, who married his brother Clint.
Although he's faced more tragedy than most people in a lifetime, and continues to have terrible luck with women, Bo has always come out stronger. A true class act, Bo believes in fairness for all and has even arrested his own family members to prove it! Llanview couldn't ask for a better Police Commissioner!

Thursday, November 19 2009: She's Not Your Daughter...
Clint answers the door at Llanfair and pulls Nora close, as Bo watches her comfort Clint for his family's loss. Once inside, Clint explains about everything that happened in Napa, and gets the scoop about how Matthew's doing, then thanks them both for being there for them. "I love you both very much," Clint says before he heads up to check on Natalie. Bo and Nora feel guilty, and just as Nora says, "My husband needs me," Clint reappears and screams, "Natalie's gone!" Clint thinks Mitch had something to do with her disappearance, but John calls to say Natalie is with him - and promises to take care of her. After Clint hangs up, he apologizes for jumping the gun, but Nora and Bo vow to be there for him - saying together they'll all get through this. Clint wants to stay at Llanfair for the night, and Nora agrees to stay with him, as Bo heads to check on things at the station.
Nora walks Bo out, and though they both admit their love for each other, they agree to work together for Clint.
Wednesday, November 18 2009: The Fantasy Within Her Reality...
Nora and Bo enter Matthew's hospital room, and after Matthew expresses how eager he is to walk again, he wonders where Uncle Clint is. As Rachel and Greg join them, Bo breaks the news that Jared is dead - and that Mitch is alive. Though Matthew wants to go home for Jared's funeral, Greg reminds him that he can't be moved then Matthew urges Bo and Nora to go home, saying to his mom, "I'm sure Uncle Clint misses you." Bo and Nora say goodbye to Matthew, only because Rachel and Greg agree to stay in Seattle to watch him until they return, then remind him not to take his first steps until they get back.
Back in Llanview, Bo and Nora arrive at Llanfair, agreeing that now isn't the time to tell Clint the truth about them.
