BO BUCHANAN'S HISTORY
Bo Buchanan arrived in Llanview in 1979 unaware that he was a Buchanan. However, his true identity was unveiled after Bo uncovered his biological father, Asa, in a lie. Throughout the years, Bo has had his shares of losses, from wives to children.
It all started after he married Delila Ralston. Bo and Didi were taken hostage by a crazed man, Patrick London, who underwent plastic surgery in order to look like Bo and take over his life. During the ordeal, Didi was electrocuted and died in Bo's arms. Bo would then go on to marry Sarah Gordon who was later kidnapped and presumed dead. Although he would never get used to the devastation in his life, Bo never gave up. Just when he found love for a third time and married Cassie Callison, Sara returned from the dead and she and Bo reunited. But not for long� A year later Sara died in a hit and run accident leaving Bo to grieve her death again.
A few years later, Bo was overjoyed to find out he had a grown son. Drew Buchanan made Bo proud when he followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Llanview PD. However, Bo's life again took an overwhelming turn for the worse when Drew was shot and killed in the line of duty.
Out of all the women in Bo's life, his love for Nora Hanen is the most memorable. It was Nora who got him through the loss of his son by giving Bo another child, only to have him crushed again when Lindsay Rappaport found out that Nora had an affair and switched the paternity results to say that Sam Rappaport was the father of Nora's child, ultimately ending Bo's love affair with Nora forever. It later came out that Matthew Rappaport was indeed Bo's son.
Although he's faced more tragedy than most people in a lifetime, and continues to have terrible luck with women, Bo has always come out stronger. A true class act, Bo believes in fairness for all and has even arrested his own family members to prove it! Llanview couldn't ask for a better Police Commissioner!
However, after losing his father, and his job, Bo was faced with some inner demons after Lindsay Rappaport betrayed his love once again - and after Bo was sent back through time to face the man who hurt him the most Asa!

Monday, December 01 2008: Thanksgiving In Llanview!
When Matthew talks amongst everyone, at the Buchanan mansion, about some memories of Asa, Shane asks Rex, "Who's my grandpa?" Rex sarcastically leans toward Roxy and asks the same question! Roxy avoids the question and heads off to make a Thanksgiving concoction!
With everyone gathered in the living room, Nora assures Clint that their catered dinner is on its way then they listen as Bo gives his thanks to Rex, Matthew, Roxy, Cole and Shane. "I want to thank you for helping my friend, Balsom, for finding his way back." Just as Renee begins her thanks, Jared and Natalie appear in the doorway! While Jared apologizes and agrees to leave, with Natalie warning that if Jared goes she goes too, Nora answers the door - and Renee hugs Natalie and tells Jared, "You may not be a Buchanan, but you sure as hell behave like one."
Nora then returns to the living room, with the caterer, who was just in an accident - and is covered with their Thanksgiving diner!
At the Buenos Dias Café, Viki, Gigi, Charlie, Noelle and Moe prepare a Thanksgiving diner, as Marcie and Michael arrive, followed by the Buchanans, the Vegas and their crew, as well as Dorian's family. After Shane introduces his dad, Rex, to Moe and Noelle, Llanview celebrates Thanksgiving as one.
Monday, November 24 2008: The Guy Needs Help, Not Punishment!
Inside Bo's office, Rex announces to Bo that he's not pressing charges against Brody. Though Rex isn't dismissing what Brody did, he talks about what Brody went through in the war then says, "The guy needs help, not punishment," and Bo agrees. When Nora joins them, she expresses that she can't let Brody off on this and says, "I don't have a choice. Brody has to spend some time behind bars." With a bit more pleading, and a reminder of what John went through to rescue Marty, Bo begs Nora to come up with another solution in regards to Brody's punishment. After a bit, Nora informs them that she pulled some strings then she and Rex head over to the VA Hospital to talk to Brody.
