CLINT BUCHANAN'S HISTORY
Arriving in Llanview in 1979, Clint Buchanan has found himself in many strange predicaments the most notorious being his marriage to Victoria Lord. The editor of an Arizona newspaper, Clint was recruited to come to town by Victoria's terminally ill husband Joe Reilly to take over his duties at the banner. After Joe's death, Clint was there for Viki and her children and eventually made them his own through adoption. While the two still have an emotional connection to this day, it wasn't easy for Clint to endure Viki's alter egos. Suffering from Disassociative Identity Disorder (DID), Viki took Clint on the roller coaster ride of his life for years!
During their first marriage, Viki's wild, free-spirited alter ego Niki emerged to set off and live it up! However, knowing Clint would never allow it, Niki pretended to be Viki and convinced Clint that she (Viki) wanted a divorce! Soon after, Clint found out that Viki had been ill again and came up with a plan to make her come back to him. He took Viki's sister Tina, who had a thing for Clint, to a lodge and arranged for 'Niki' to show up. When Niki entered the room and saw Clint and Tina about to have sex, it was enough to lure Viki out again!
In 2003, while Clint would get the exciting news that Natalie Buchanan was his daughter, he would get the most devastating news of his life when he found out that his daughter Jessica was really the biological daughter of Mitch Lawrence, a man who raped Viki years back. However, through it all, this Texas cowboy has remained a fair man and loving father who always looks out for his own! With all their children grown up and a few marriages under their belts, Clint and Viki continue to create that spark of magic every time their near each other!

Monday, December 01 2008: Thanksgiving In Llanview!
In the foyer, Nora briefly consoles Cole for his loss then stands back when Clint appears wanting to apologize to Cole. After Clint apologizes for putting Cole in the position he did, he claims that Asa would really like him - and would be happy that he and his mother are living in his house.
With everyone gathered in the living room, Nora assures Clint that their catered dinner is on its way then they listen as Bo gives his thanks to Rex, Matthew, Roxy, Cole and Shane. "I want to thank you for helping my friend, Balsom, for finding his way back." Just as Renee begins her thanks, Jared and Natalie appear in the doorway! While Jared apologizes and agrees to leave, with Natalie warning that if Jared goes she goes too, Nora answers the door - and Renee hugs Natalie and tells Jared, "You may not be a Buchanan, but you sure as hell behave like one."
Nora then returns to the living room, with the caterer, who was just in an accident - and is covered with their Thanksgiving diner!
At the Buenos Dias Café, Viki, Gigi, Charlie, Noelle and Moe prepare a Thanksgiving diner, as Marcie and Michael arrive, followed by the Buchanans, the Vegas and their crew, as well as Dorian's family. After Shane introduces his dad, Rex, to Moe and Noelle, Llanview celebrates Thanksgiving as one.
Tuesday, November 25 2008: Three's A Crowd!
Viki and Clint arrive at the hospital to take Jessica to St. Ann's. When Natalie and Jared show up, wanting to help, Jessica doesn't turn them away - and everyone watches as Viki unties Jessica's hands, in order for her to sign her commitment papers. Though Jessica signs, and is ready to head out, Viki reminds her, "You need to say goodbye to your daughters first." Later, holding Bree, Jessica tries to remain strong then cries, "I don't know how I'm going to leave you." As everyone watches, Jessica apologizes to Bree for not being there but promises that once she returns, she's going to be her mommy again.
Now holding her baby, Jessica sobs, "You're so beautiful. I wish your daddy could've seen you. He would've loved you so much." …Never are they aware that Tina is watching them all from the doorway… Jessica then names her baby, Chloe, says a final goodbye to her girls then falls apart in Natalie's comforting arms.
Finally at St. Ann's, Jessica commits herself with hopes of getting her life back!
