Back inside, Jack is still drilling Todd about Tea, but Todd assures Jack that he'll handle it - including the ramifications from Blair.
Suddenly, Todd walks into Capricorn and hears her! Cris leaves the room then Todd badgers Blair about how she hasn't moved on from them - and informs her that he's taking her to court for joint custody. When Blair brings up Tea, Todd notices her eying the papers on the bar, and the two start struggling over them! Todd wins the struggle, sees all of the information on Tea then asks, "What the hell are you up to?"
There's A New Stripper In Town!
At Rodie's, Todd orders Gigi not to interrupt his meeting, demands she turn off the music then briefly calls Tea, who asks if Todd's new lawyer is anyone she knows. Todd claims he's still interviewing then hangs up when Elijah arrives! Before Todd hires him, he makes Elijah assure him that Tea will never know that he's his lawyer! On Elijah's way out, he gets a call and tells the caller, "You'll never guess who just hired me, Manning."
Jack joins Todd, who explains that he hired a new lawyer, so he can move out from under his mother's thumb. Todd assures Jack that he's fighting for custody for him then Jack brings up the cabana - and questions Todd about his feelings for Tea! Jack likes Tea's 'cupcakes', and the new Todd, then begs his father to make it work with Tea!
David Brings Reality To Llanview!
At his house, in Tea's bedroom, Todd talks her up for winning against Bo and Nora's hotshot lawyer, causing Tea to think back to Elijah's threat, while holding his business card. After wrestling on the bed, Todd admits he got some great advice from Viki then says, "I like our chances," but Tea reminds him, "That's just us… There's always Blair." Though Todd promises that Blair is out of his system, Tea replies, "Maybe, but you're not out of hers." Todd offers to move out of Dorian's but knows he needs a good lawyer to overturn the custody case then asks for Elijah's contact info - but Tea snaps, "You stay away from him!" Tea covers by saying Elijah's in a trial, with her, then listens as Todd brings up Blair, and the possible secrets they could have talked about while at the KAD house, ones he could use against Blair, but Tea manages to get Todd to leave - so she can work on her case.
Out in the hallway, Todd looks at Elijah's business card - the one he took from Tea's pocket as he was kissing her goodbye!
Todd arrives home, warns Blair to stay away from him, looks at Elijah's card and whispers, "It won't be long now, Blair." Blair whispers as well, "It won't be long now, Tea."
Matthew's Day In Court Begins!
When Charlie and Viki show up at the diner, Todd gives them a hard time about not being on a honeymoon then apologizes for Blair's actions at their wedding. Over lunch, Todd talks about his plans to woo Tea then receives advice from Charlie on how to make it work, as Todd laughs about almost screwing it up by having sex with Blair the other day. "I don't want her anymore, I want Tea," Todd says. Viki advises that Todd give Tea time to see that he has changed, and Todd agrees, knowing there's nothing standing in his and Tea's way.
Later, when Todd sneaks up on Tea outside the courtroom, she practically jumps out of her skin - never realizing that Elijah is in possession of a file on her!
John Does Damage Control!
Todd makes a brief call to Tea then enters the diner just as Starr ends her call to Cole. Starr calls Todd annoying and assures him that Cole wouldn't do anything to screw up their lives again. Todd plays with Hope then suggests they go get her a lizard! Noticing Todd's good mood, Starr wonders how he could have sex with her mom but be so into Tea. Starr makes it clear that she doesn't have a problem with him and Tea - if he lays off of her and Cole.
