Downstairs in The Palace ballroom, Clint asks Dorian why she's so set on firing Bo, and after she looks at the makeshift Christmas card from Mitch, she replies, "I have my reasons." After Clint introduces Kim to Dorian, he reminds Dorian, "My hands are clean tonight." Suddenly, Bo and Nora arrive, shocked to see Clint with Kim, and Clint tells Dorian he's made sure the press knows what's up then says, "Let the goodtimes roll!"
Dorian takes the podium, talks about Llanview's most respected citizens, Bo and Nora, then calls them to the stage, but when the press starts bugging Dorian about 'the rumors', she claims not to know what they're talking about - until one publically outs Bo and Nora's affair, leaving Clint smiling proudly! Dorian denies the rumors, but when a photo of Bo and Nora kissing before her wedding to Clint is presented to them, Bo and Nora leave the stage, as Kim gives the press a statement. Privately, as Bo suggests they've been set up, Nora wonders what Dorian could gain from their affair. Dorian then calls for everyone's attention, claims she wants to keep her word to give the community only the best then fires Bo - for committing adultery!
Rex Goes Back To His Roots...
John finds Bo and Nora in Bo's office, and after chatting a bit about Matthew, John asks them to close Mitch's stabbing case. Just then, Natalie appears and says that John didn't stab Mitch, like Mitch is claiming, and Nora asks Natalie to give her a statement - since she hasn't yet. They are interrupted when Bo gets a call from Fish, who's asking if Rex is allowed into Mitch's room, to which Bo gives the go-ahead, then gets back to the issue with Mitch's case. After Natalie panics about Mitch getting off free, and going after John, Bo and Nora agree to close Mitch's case. John and Natalie leave, and Bo and Nora agree that there's more to this case than John and Natalie are willing to admit. They decide to do everything in their power to make sure Mitch pays then Nora wonders why Natalie didn't lash out at her for breaking Clint's heart, wondering why Clint is waiting to reveal their break-up. Nora reminds Bo that Clint is out for their blood.
Dorian shows up at the station and hands out invitations to the Mayoral Ball to Bo and Nora - and the guests of their choice - as well as to John and Natalie. Nora looks uncomfortable and replies, "Clint doesn't really like these things." Dorian orders Nora, Bo and John to be there then urges Natalie to come as well, promising her that she'll do everything she can to make sure Mitch stays locked up. Finally, everyone reluctantly agrees to go, leaving Dorian to say, "Be on time… It's going to be a big night!" After Dorian leaves, Natalie wishes John a Happy New Year with Marty then Bo and Nora sneak a kiss in his office, anticipating the New Year ahead.
Holiday Cheer In Llanview!
Over at The Palace, Bo and Nora meet in her room, kiss then exchange gifts. Nora gives Bo a fishing trip, and he gives her a pamphlet for ballroom dancing. Just as they agree it's time to tell Matthew and Dani about them, Rachel appears, glad that they've finally admitted their feelings. A bellhop shows up with Bo, Nora, Matthew and Rachel's things - and a note to Bo reading, "They're your problem now." After Rachel leaves, Bo assures Nora that Clint is going to get over this in time.
When Bo and Nora appear in Matthew's room, they are happily shocked to find him walking! Destiny watches as the family hugs then puts her gift for Matthew on a chair and leaves.
From The Outside Looking In...
When Nora and Bo arrive at The Palace Hotel, alone in Bo's room, Nora feels horrible for Dani, who is now forced to be in the same building as the woman Nora promised to take her away from. Over a drink, Nora recants to Bo what happened in her bedroom with Clint and Kim then, after taking a shot of booze, she admits Clint was right - and she did destroy the Buchanan family. Bo refuses to allow Nora to blame herself, saying, "We fell in love… I don't regret it, do you?" Nora could never regret falling in love with him then heads back to her room - but not before Bo assures her that everything is going to be okay, for all of them.
Staring Down The Barrel Of Clint's Fury!
Just as Bo and Nora are leaving the Buchanan mansion, Clint appears holding a shotgun and talks about how in his position, Asa would have blown off the head of the man who was stealing his wife! Though Bo and Nora try to reason with him, Clint can't forget how his brother and wife have deceived him. After Clint puts the gun down, saying he wouldn't think of hurting the rest of his family by shooting them, he warns that they will get theirs - and Nora will cheat on Bo, like she did in the past. "Pa warned us," Clint says to Bo. "History repeats itself if you don't pay attention." Clint calls Nora a few derogatory names, but she only reminds him that she and Bo love him - and never cheated on him, but Clint isn't interested and asks for a minute alone with his brother. "Nora, congratulations," Clint says. "Not only did you destroy a marriage, you destroyed a family."
Outside, Bo sees Nora waiting, who sees his black eye, then the two leave the mansion for good.
A Threatening Holiday Greeting!
When Nora sees Clint in her bed with Kim, Kim tells Nora Clint has never been better - and Clint asks, "What's it look like? I'm having an affair?" Kim gets up, puts on Nora's robe, as Clint makes introductions - and tells Nora he would have done it sooner, but she was always 'getting off' with Bo. Kim kicks Nora out of her own bedroom, so 'the lady' can get dressed, then tells Clint she'll always be there for him - and Clint gives Kim a raise!
