Clint answers the door at Llanfair and pulls Nora close, as Bo watches her comfort Clint for his family's loss. Once inside, Clint explains about everything that happened in Napa, and gets the scoop about how Matthew's doing, then thanks them both for being there for them. "I love you both very much," Clint says before he heads up to check on Natalie. Bo and Nora feel guilty, and just as Nora says, "My husband needs me," Clint reappears and screams, "Natalie's gone!" Clint thinks Mitch had something to do with her disappearance, but John calls to say Natalie is with him - and promises to take care of her. After Clint hangs up, he apologizes for jumping the gun, but Nora and Bo vow to be there for him - saying together they'll all get through this. Clint wants to stay at Llanfair for the night, and Nora agrees to stay with him, as Bo heads to check on things at the station.
Nora walks Bo out, and though they both admit their love for each other, they agree to work together for Clint.
The Fantasy Within Her Reality...
Nora and Bo enter Matthew's hospital room, and after Matthew expresses how eager he is to walk again, he wonders where Uncle Clint is. As Rachel and Greg join them, Bo breaks the news that Jared is dead - and that Mitch is alive. Though Matthew wants to go home for Jared's funeral, Greg reminds him that he can't be moved then Matthew urges Bo and Nora to go home, saying to his mom, "I'm sure Uncle Clint misses you." Bo and Nora say goodbye to Matthew, only because Rachel and Greg agree to stay in Seattle to watch him until they return, then remind him not to take his first steps until they get back.
Back in Llanview, Bo and Nora arrive at Llanfair, agreeing that now isn't the time to tell Clint the truth about them.
Her Quest To Keep Them Apart...
Nora and Bo passionately kiss in her hotel room in Seattle then both admit they don't want to be alone. Just as they fall to the bed, both stop, knowing they can't make love - they can't cheat on Clint. Later, over a pizza, Nora and Bo bring up how Bo found out about her and Sam then agree they didn't want to put Clint through that. Nora vows to tell Clint the truth then calls Rachel to check on Matthew. After she hangs up, Nora is filled with guilt to see that while she and Bo were carrying on, she missed a call from Clint. Nora calls Clint, relays the news to Bo that Jared is dead then replies to Clint's, "I love you, Nora,"' with, "Me too." After she hangs up, Nora is filled with guilt, and grieving for Jared, falls into Bo arms.
Goodbye Jared...
Over in Seattle, Dr. Nance approaches Bo and Nora with news about Matthew's surgery, apologizes for getting Matthew's hopes up then suggests that Bo and Nora convince Matthew that life in a wheelchair is better than no life at all. Bo flips out, pushes the doctor and screams, "How the hell could you do this to him… Get his hopes up!" Just then Greg and Rachel arrive, and Dr. Nance explains what happened in surgery - that there was too much scar tissue. With Bo and Nora's consent, Greg goes to scrub in to see if he can help Matthew! Later, Greg reappears and happily explains that he removed the tissue and is optimistic that Matthew will walk again! Nora throws herself into Greg's arms with thanks then Bo expresses his with a handshake.
In Matthew's room, Nora and Bo explain how Greg flew out there and removed all the damaged tissue - and inform that Matthew should be able to walk again! Bo, Nora and Matthew are all happy to be together again. Though Bo and Nora want to stay at the hospital, Greg and Rachel convince them to go to a hotel to get some rest.
Later, in Nora's hotel room, Bo gets ready to head to his room, but Nora can't stop saying, "He's going to be okay." Bo happily asks Nora to dance then they fall into a passionate kiss - and Nora doesn't realize that Clint is trying to call her!
Deathbed Confessions...
Nora and Bo rush into the hospital to hear that Matthew's surgery has already begun - and a nurse reminds them that they have no legal rights to stop the surgery! Nora and Bo are threatened to be thrown out then Nora falls into Bo's arms with worry. Nora eyes Tea, who has found Dani across the waiting room, and blames her for Matthew being in surgery. Though Tea rants at her daughter, demanding that she come with her, Dani calls her 'Tea' then warns that if she keeps it up, she might lose her - like the Buchanans might lose Matthew! Tea walks away to apologize to Nora, for taking Matthew's case - who doesn't accept Tea's late apology - while Elijah tells Dani to take it easy on Tea. Tea doesn't give up on Nora and offers to be there for her - since she now knows how it feels to possibly lose her child. Nora turns her down, claiming Tea can't suddenly become someone she's not, then Dani gives Bo and Nora Matthew's sneakers. Suddenly, Dr. Nance appears and says to Nora and Bo, "I have some bad news."
Mitch Shoots Jared!
On their flight to Seattle, Nora and Bo talk about all that's going on, to which Nora suggests that it's as though fate stepped in to stop them from telling Clint about them. Over talk of Matthew, Nora is still optimistic that they'll get to Seattle in time, but Bo says, "Unless Nance lied." Bo explains his strange conversation with Dr. Nance, leaving Nora to say, "That means Matthew is already at the hospital… there's nothing we can do to save him." Bo has an idea and promises when this is all over the two of them will be together…
