I was just wondering if anyone wasnt a gigi and rex fan and if so why? i personally love them. they are so great together |

The problem as I see it...with Shane is Gigi's fault..Brody went along with it and now has pushed the last straw with the DNA test....ok Gigi and Rex were young, she got pregnant, he left without knowing about it....then she hooks up with Brody..he goes into the service..his mom does not like her...so she tell Gigi that he is dead... |

ok i know yall are problably gonna have a fit when i say this but i personally have alllllllways thought gigi was a boring character. idk why!! maybe cause shes always sooo whinnnnny. or always in a mess. im tired of the whole rex needs ta find out who his son is s/l. why would she ever even start ta let her son think brody was his dad in the first place? i do like brody though and can see him with a hot s/l with another actress. to me gigi and rex just dont do anythin chemestry wise. sorry folks!! jmo!! |

I am a Rex & Gigi fan, but she is starting to seriously pis# me off. How dare she tell Rex to go home! Shane needs to be sat down and told the truth already, WITH Rex present and Brody too. And, she needs to confront Brody about the dna testing in front of Shane!!! Let's get this mess moving along. |

I agree, it's way past time Shane was told the truth, BUT... that wasn't the time to do it. Shane was not in the emotional place to hear AND believe the truth. Who knows what lies Brody has been feeding him off camera, and it could very easily play out that Shane would genuinely believe that Gigi is lying THIS TIME - just so she can be with Rex. (Hey, he's a ten year old kid, after all!) Yes, Gigi has lied to Shane his whole life - that's never a good option - but she wasn't doing it to be malicious, or to screw up his life; so I gotta give her some slack there. However... she let it go on for far too long once she finally bumped into Rex again. It should have come out long before Brody even set foot in Llanview and allowed the lie to continue. And to what end, for Brody? To call Shane his son? He didn't even know Shane before, or if he'd even like the kid and want to call him "son"? Did he do it to win Gigi over? Cause we all know how much a girl LOVES a guy who manipulates her kid and uses him to force her into a relationship with him that she doesn't want. Gigi screwed up by lying in the first place. It's time to end it now. There's no way to avoid the inevitable - the pain and betrayal Shane will RIGHTLY feel when he finds out the truth. Best to rip the band-aid off quickly and let the kid learn to deal with the truth. |

Has Rex forgotten the things he's done and his deception? He led Todd to believe his son was dead. And I do believe that Brody did what he did mostly for Shane. Rex needs to grow up himself and Gigi is pathetic! |

Ok, now I respect everyone's opinion, but I have to come to the defense of my favorite characters. I love Rex & Gigi . I think Gigi has made a big mistake by keeping this secret, but she has the right intentions. Her heart is truly in the right place. I am just tired of people trying to force Brody on her. While she appreciates everything he has done for HER son, she is not in love with him. She is in love with Rex & she can not control her feelings. She has always loved Rex, that is who has her heart right now. Why try to force something that is not there at all. Gigi & Brody have no chemistry. There is nothing there.If he truly cares for Gigi & Shane like he says he does, then he will leave their lives. Rex, Gigi & Shane need to be a family. Brody should not be screwing that up. Shane should know who his real father is. |

Perpetuating a lie that should have never been told does nothing for Shane - except serve to teach him that adults are not to be trusted - even those who you are supposed to be able to trust and look out for your best interests. NOPE never was a Rex/Gigi fan. Hated the idea, didn't see the chemistry... until 1968, until Rex found out he was Shane's dad. Now I love them. Shane has been a total disrespectful brat! He doesn't even have anything to be mad at Rex about, except that he knows his mom doesn't love his "dad". He was down right rude to Rex. We all know this will take a long time to play out, right? |
