Whatever happened to Shannon McBain?

A few years ago, Shannon McBain was the "hottie" of Llanview, Pennsylvania.

Shannon was the teenage cousin of John and Michael McBain and she used to be friends with Michael's future wife Marcie Walsh.

But then, she was mysteriously written off the show.

So does anyone know whatever happened to Shannon McBain?
