From what I understood all these weeks that room was being built to lock Natalie in. I don't get why Tina is there. That to me is bad writing. They need to lock Natalie in there, thats what "Tess's" body language was saying all this time.

Tess's original plan was to lock Natalie in the room. When Tina walked right into the room, Tess realized that if she just locked Tina in the basement then she could still terorize Natalie anyway! Basically, Tess saw the chance to get rid of her distraction and took it! Without Tina in the picture, Tess could cause much more havoc. Here is a spoiler, scroll down!

Tess drugs Natalie! When Natalie awakes, will she also be in the basement with Tina?

I think that this means that Tess will end up locking Natalie in the basement too! Here is another spoiler, no need to scroll down!

When Natalie awakes, she knows's exactly who she is dealing with!

I guess this one means that Natalie finds out about Tess too, FINALLY!

I don't believe that Tess planned to lock Tina in the basement, but Tina and David Vickers came upon it. Since Tina discovered this, Tess really had to choice but to lock Tina in the basement.

Tess' issue isn't with Tina - even though she doesn't like Tina, her issue is with Natalie and Jared, Tina was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
