Clint couldn't have picked a better time to send Jared on a mission to bring back Langston's long-lost uncle Ray. I'm sure its going to take Jared a while to get his act together enough to go down to Columbia to get Ray to come back to Llanview with him.

Natalie is probably going to be very angry at Jared for even thinking of taking Clint up on his job offer, but Jared will feel it is the only way to redeem himself (and therefore Natalie) in Clint's eyes and will take off to find Ray.

While Jared is gone, Tess will trick Natalie into going into the secret room and keep her locked up in there. Then when Jared gets back with Ray in tow, Tess will make up a story about how Natalie just couldn't forgive either Clint or Jared for their backhanded ways and decided to pick up and leave town to start a new life.

Jared, who already thinks that Jessica is off her rocker, would pretend to believe Tess' story and be devastated by Natalie's departure (Jared wouldn't be able to leave town anyways to search Natalie out because he has the whole Ray situation to deal with). Tess, being the kind soul she is, will offer her shoulder for Jared to lean on in his time of need. Jared will accept this offer, thinking it will help him get closer to finding out the truth about what happened to Natalie.

What Jared doesn't know is that Tess is secretly filming them using a hidden camera and she hired a PI (maybe the same one Clint hired to find info on Langston) to follow them around and take incriminating pictures. Tess would then taunt Natalie with the edited videos and pictures of Jared getting cozy with Jessica, which would devastate Natalie...she does think Jared is her "one".

Meanwhile, Tess is as happy as a clam with both Jared and Natalie being miserable.

I have no idea if this is what is really going to happen, but I hope that it does. We'll just have to wait and see how far I'm off (or how right on the money I am) with the way the writers think.
