I didn't get to see today's ep, but from the Daily Update I gleaned this:

"When Ned, Emma and Renee leave, with a young Asa watching them go..."

Who was Young Asa, if Bo is back in 2008? Someone else entirely or did they layer in a younger version of Asa?

They used a new actor entirely! It didn't make any sense because Bo was supposed to be Asa, but now this new guy is! And nobody, not even Rex, said anything about Bo not being Asa!

Actually Rex did. He said is it possible that Bo made it back to 2008 and then Gigi said if he did then maybe they can. It was towards the beginning of the show. LOL. Didn't make any sense to me either though. LOL

yeah. the new actor was in the going & comings page. i read it a few days ago when amy posted it up. but i dont understand why they would put a new asa. it makes no sense. lmfao.

Because the actor who has played Asa from the beginning is now too old to pull off Asa at that age now. Asa was still a youngish buck back then, so they had to.

That's why I thought they might have layered in a younger Asa...a younger Phil Carey. Some of the 1980s stuff...well, maybe there wasn't enough useable footage to do that.

Yeah wel... there wouldn't have been the "right" stuff for them to edit in the younger Phil-as-Asa - because of the dialogue. On the show they never had any scenes like these, so it's not like they could just use old footage. They had to use someone else as Asa.
