What happened to the Nora who stressed doing everything right according to the law?????

I defended Nora through all of her problems since she landed in Llandview. Don't get me wrong, Nora used to be holier than thou and I loved that about her. I even defended her when she lied to Bo to save his life (way back when). Should I forgive her again?

Back then, I couldn't understand why Bo couldn't see that Nora lied to him and slept with (what's his name) to conceive the child Bo wanted after he lossed his first born son (what's his name-Rafe?) LOL! Sorry guys senior moment. I guess everything fades after awhile.

Long story short, Bo divorced Nora and left her due to her LIES. Remember?

So forgive me if I am really having trouble wrapping my head around Bo and Nora's deception to Matthew.

According to this old thread, Nora couldn't allow Lindsay to LIE to Bo! Bo has always hated the thought of LIES in general! Bo being the Comissioner couldn't forgive Lindsay for her LIES and deception as well! Does this mean he should forgive Lindsay when she returns to the canvas?

Nora is the DA yet she has NO qualms taking Matthew out of the country to prevent him from making a decision that the court allowed Matthew to make. Well, isn't this why Nora despises Tea? Tea one up'd Nora on several occassions this way.

Geez Nora, I guess we do change our tactics when it's to get what WE want eh? Don't forget to forgive Tea. I wonder will there be repercussions for Nora and Bo's actions? I can't wait to see what Tea does once she hears about the trip to London.

Nora is Matthew's mother but should the law take a back seat when children are in the equation?

If this were any other case many of us would have a problem with the DA and the Comissioner involved in such obvious disregard of the law. Help me understand why NORA should remain the DA after this stunt. (How many cases has she won these days anyway?) I wonder if she advises her other clients to run like hell when she loses their case.

Again, help me understand why we should overlook this recent chain of events. Does money and status really take precedence? Whew! Sorry I'm venting!

Parenting is a difficult job. I can honestly say that I am no expert on parenting however, I can (and my children can attest to the fact)state that I honestly would never dictate to overturn a court order should one be put in place for any of my children. I LOVE MY babies to no end too! However, I do have high regard for the law and I teach MY children to do the same. My son is indeed a police officer currently, and my other children are all university graduates with awesome careers and fortunately never had any problems in school nor with the law.

Our family had wonderful talks (and still do) about decision-making throughout our lives and I can HONESTLY and PROUDLY state that I would never leap to such means (as Nora)and insult their intelligence in this way. Love requires respect! At 15 years of age, MY children were definitely capable of making such a decision. If my child ELECTED (your words) to go to war or donate their limbs or even have a surgery such as Matthew's, (God forbid) we would have discussed it and I would have prayed for a speedy recovery!

Honor is huge in our family and Nora displayed very little honor and integrity towards Matthew. YES, I agree with you ... this is a soap and who knows what a real judge will decide in court these days but Nora and Bo both taught Matthew well (up to this point). Matthew used their moral judgement and their moral system(when they exhibited such) and chose to seek legal counsel. Sorry, but I agree to disagree with you about this issue.

If you do not trust your children's judgement, this of course is another issue but I for one taught my children to think for themselves and I do trust their sound judgement and my LORD. It has worked for me so far and I pray that MY children will continue to exhibit great sound judgement in the future.

You continue to mention GOOD parenting...well that my dear is in the eye of the beholder.

I think we are forgetiing that Matthew is a CHILD! At 15 (just like the Taylor swift song says) your not ready!! He can't see the whole picture, they can! and as to trusting my childs judgment again he's 15. I remember that well(and TRUST me I made alot of mistakes and wish now I had listened to my mom instead of thining I was old enough to make my own chices! So trust imo is a 2 way street!! I mean really if my son comes home stinking like weed and beer am I supposed to trust him to know whats best? HEll No he's a child!!

1. This was Clint's big idea. Not Bo and Nora's. 2. Greg is not performing the surgery someone with less experience is. WOuld you want someone with no track record performing surgery on your child? I sure as he!! wouldn't!! and imo respect is a 2 way street. They are the parents and when they said NO to the surgery that should have been the end of the subject! imo Matt should have respected their authority and dropped it! I mean if he comes out worse then when he went in, who's going to care for him? also who's payin for this? If it were me Id tell the Judge to pay it himself! Matthew could die or end up a quadropeligic from this surgery. I side with the parents!!
