Hi Amy....I have been wondering why Evangeline's character has been in a "coma" so long, when Renee Goldsberry has been off the show awhile. I heard that the OLTL writers are searching for a replacement, so the character has not been killed off. This makes sense to me...otherwise why would they keep Evangeline "alive"...is this true?

Hi,

Actually, as far as I know, as of yet, Evangeline will not be recast nor is Renee coming back. When there is an uncertainty with an actor's contract, it is common for a soap to use the 'coma angle.' Remember Ben Davidson - and how many years he was in a coma? I think the show does it with the option of bringing the character back if they choose that route in the future. On the other hand, I have heard of characters being in a coma for 20 years! LOL!

Thanx Amy....I wasn't around for Ben, but I saw what they did with Nora when Hillary Smith was in process of re-negotiating her contract :::::::::eyeroll::::::::::LOL
