Mathews parents should be arrested for Contempt Of Court

I think Bo and Nora should be arrested for kidnapping their son. Don't they realize what harm they have done. Every surgery has risks and sometimes you have to risk something to gain something. Waiting for 3 years to have his surgery will not work as his muscles will not respond to that surgery. Bo and Nora will never have Matthew's trust again and what do they expect he will think of them in the future. |

ITA!!and to bring trust into this How can Bo and Nora trust Matthew? He went behind their backs and hired a lawyer after they had already said no. David had no right to pay for it. This is not a life or death situation! They are not risking his life! and I watched it(epi) again and while the judge did say Matt was old enough to make this choice he made no mention of who was paying for it. Reg medical won't cover a surgery like this, it'd be out of pocket. So do you think B&N should pay for a surgery they don't agree with? One that could possibly leave Matt a quadropeligic or dead? IMO since the judge ruled Matt was old enough to make his own decisions then maybe Matthew needs to get a job (and save up) and pay for it himself!! Since he thinks he's an adult (as does the judge) maybe he should start acting like one!! and real adults don't expect Mommy and Daddy to pay their way! We get jobs and pay our own way! |

I could not agree with you more. I could not believe that two supposedly moral and upright characters (Bo and Nora) could so flagrantly ignore their son's feelings and think only of their own. Matthew needs the surgery now for it to be most effective. Isolating him from his friends and family and lying to him over and over will never be right. What they are doing to him is despicable! If I were a child and my parents did that to me, I would never again believe a word they said and I would never trust them with anything. |

ok we know they didn't do this to be malice or greedy, point is matthew won his case. they lied to him and they have taught him his whole life to be honest and obey the laws. what does that exclude them?? we know it is a scary thing to face almost losing a child but look at gregs other patients that have walked after the surgery. they are still alive.. i dont cheer them for being decietful. |

The idea that adults would condemn other adults for loving their child enough to break the law to protect that child from themselves is sad and very disappointing. |
