Has the actor who plays Shane been fired or is he taking some sort of extended leave? His has been inconspicuously absent during stories that ought to include him in some manner.

I wonder if they will bring up Allison's secret before she wound up in the coma if Mitch is returning. I hope they find a way to have her come out of the coma too. It would be great to have them both roaming around Llanview. Now, watch the ratings go up big time!!!
