storylines too long?

It seems to me that the s/l are getting longer and longer. I am tired of the Stacy/Rex s/l. Cole was given one month to break the drug ring.. He has been on two or three times in the last two weeks.. They should make that s/l exciting and cause some peril to someone.. Marko living with the newlyweds.. That has to be uncomfortable even in that big house.. But that s/l has also been on the back burner too long.. These are just my opinions. I would just like to see faster movement so we don't forget what is going on...

It seems like that has always been one of OLTL's problems. They do take their sweet time developing a story. I agree that Stacy's obsession with Rex is getting a little played out, but it was nice to have an episode with Rex and Gigi and not have Stacy bouncing around. The kids have been neglected too, like you said, ohmystar. The Cole going undercover story should be Cole's shining moment, but they're not really showing much and they're running out of time. I don't want to post a spoiler, but something is going to happen, and I'd like to say they're building up to it, but that would require more airtime for Cole.

It seems to take about a year for a storyline, way to long. 3 or 4 months is enough or it becomes boring and giving viewers time to check out other soaps. I like the actress that plays Stacy-very talented, but just don't care for the character very much. Put obsesed Stacy in St. Annes-pleeeese! Bring in Tracy, her level headed twin that was adopted-same actress of course. Allow Matthew and Cole share the spotlight! Both s/l's are great. By the way, I think Ramsey could be Rex's dad, about same age as Roxy, and a possible (spoiler) entrance for the Russian mob. Spencer would have been a older kid when Roxy had Rex.

SPOILER...I think.

I don't know how it ends up, but for some reason Cole will take a bullet for Starr and the baby b/c of the drug s/l. Coincidentally, When Cole gets taken to the hospital, Matt's surgery is going on and for some reason, Cole being there saves Matt's life.

i agree. storylines are way too long. the stacy having a miscarriage and asking schy to get her pregnant already sounds boring. and you know thats going to drag on for god only knows how long. rex will probably find out that she had a miscarriage and the baby isnt his like 10 years down the road from now. just like we still dont know who his father is. but on another spoiler site it says that spencer truman is his father. no suprise there.

I don't mind a storyline dragged out if it keeps your interest...but OLTL hasn't had one of thos S/L's since...

I'm still thinking...I'll get back to you!

All kidding aside...this is one of my favorite Soaps along side the now cancelled GL. I don't delete this show off my DVR like I sometimes do with AMC...which they love to drag a story out too long sometimes. I am not a huge fan of GH (tend to watch when I am bored and one of the first I delete off my DVR unwatched). I think OLTL and AMC need to take a que from the other soaps and pitter patter lets get ater...or don't tell the story at all.

I'm actually liking the pacing of storylines right now. It's not like with GH where the storylines are zipped through at a pace that leaves me wondering what happened and things are either skipped over or forgotten in order to rush toward the ending.
