Patrick (Jason Thompson) is in it deep when an attractive patient insists that he examine her recent cosmetic surgery.
Jason (Steve Burton) begins his probation as a maintenance worker. Toussaint (Billy Dee Williams) is his mentor, who teaches him more than just how to mop! Maxie (Kirsten Storms) arrives at the hospital to visit Ms. Sneed (Wendy Braun), but soon winds up a patient!
Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) learns that her son Stan (Kiko Ellsworth) is planning a hospital workers’ strike, which doesn't bode well with Epiphany. Stan's plans to unite the staff and gain the respect of his mother don’t go as smoothly as he envisions.
Meanwhile, resident cardiologist Dr. Leo (Dominic Rains) almost performs a needless bypass on an appendicitis patient, and Chief of Staff Dr. Russell Ford (Richard Gant) declares that General Hospital seems to be cursed!
