Wow, so very exciting. There are some surprises here for sure. Now, to land some interviews so all of our fans can hear about the excitement from the nominees themselves!

I want to request a double check. Wasn't Beth Ehlers submitted for "Guiding Light" -- and in lead actress, where you've listed just two from that show, Crystal Chappell and Nicole Forester?

Also, I thought I read from James Scott ("Days of Our Lives") that he was submitting this year in supporting, not lead, actor.

Good lord, negative nelly city or what?!! Thank you Julie for your lovely support and positive attitude!!

There totally are some surprises. It may not be who everyone would choose, and we may be bummed out about some missing the pick.. isn't it all politics anyway?!! No worries... it's just a statue to some. Fans, you know who you support.

Sarab - I'm a fan of both actresses and I am just fine with this. Everyone's different.

DS0816 - This is directly from the Emmy organization. We don't copy and paste from other sites. It's all official. No need to post that again. I'm just as surprised as you are for James Scott for lead actor too! I'd never have thought that in a million years, either.

I am glad to see GH's Tyler Christopher in the lead Actor category. He deserves and EMMY this year. He has had an amazing year.

I am torn in the Best Actress category: Maura West and KKL are both outstanding. I think the edge goes to KKL for her rape and bathroom scene.

Best Actor: Scott Bryce and Grayson McCouch both outstanding. Toss up between these two.

im torn between RPG and Grayson McCouch. They are both great actors. Any word whether Ricky will be on the Red Carpet interviewing stars before they enter. i hope he does. he is so good at that.

Chrissi,

Thanks for your response to my question. And, yes, I was provided with a link yesterday to the Daytime Emmy awards' Web page.

I will be personally boycotting the awards this year, and I will be turning my back on "Guiding Light."

My God, why were these people nominated from OLTL?
The only one I agree with is Blair, but where is Todd?
