Based on the book by Alfred Uhry, his production “The Last Night of Ballyhoo” is a comedy-filled drama set in December of 1939 surrounding an upper class German-Jewish society in Atlanta, Georgia. Although many events are taking place around them, including the invasion of Hitler and the opening of Gone With The Wind, Adolph Freitag and his family can think of nothing else but going to their prominent country club to attend Ballyhoo, a dance, where many will come together to face and discuss their Jewish identities and those around them!
“So,” you ask, “What’s this have to do with soap operas?” Well, fans, we’re excited to announce that some of your favorite soap stars will be taking part in this year’s production! Presented by the Temple Arts Company, amongst the cast, fans will recognize Stephen Macht (

Bold and the Beautiful’s Katie Logan) and fellow Daytime Emmy winner – and brother - David Tom (ex-
One Life to Live’s Paul Cramer and ex-
