You Were Right.

Friday, October 10 2008
Bill tries to rescue the deal, Natalia has to rush to Olivia's aid and Dinah has a thank you for Grady.

At the office, Decker is eager to get the presentation under way. When he walks off, Bill calls around for Lizzie again. Billy arrives and his son admits that he will tell Lizzie that he loves her, but he's still sure that he can have money and love. Decker returns and is ready to go ahead without Lizzie. Bill says there is no show without Lizzie. "It's now or the entire deal is blown," Decker claims. Bill agrees to go ahead alone and starts the presentation, drifting off occasionally when Lizzie's parts in the script show up on his monitor. He tries to cover over them and then stops with the script to talk about his family and how nothing is more important than making money for everyone involved. After the end of the presentation, Billy tells him that it went well. Bill thinks it was a catastrophe and Lizzie must have had this planned all along.

Grady reveals to Dinah that he has captured Lizzie. He has her bound and gagged in the TV station's basement. Dinah drags him aside and worries. He tells her to stop pretending to be outraged. Lizzie will miss the meeting and Bill and Lizzie will lose the deal, he explains. Dinah is still outraged and walks off. Meanwhile, Lizzie gets the gag out of her mouth and begins screaming. Grady changes his voice and threatens her into silence. He makes a call to his 'boss' and tells them that he will take care of the problem. Lizzie begs to be released until he puts his hand around her throat and orders her to stop. She tells him that she is supposed to be at a meeting and people will notice she's gone. As she explains who she is and how important she is, he silently mocks her.

Bill walks outside and Dinah approaches him. He doesn't want to talk and walks away. She follows him. Annoyed, he tells her that the presentation was ruined because of Lizzie and he's sure she set him up to fail. "You were right. She always puts her family first," Bill says. Dinah stifles a smile. Bill continues his complaints. Dinah rocks back and forth before saying that she heard Alan talking along the same lines. She makes excuses for Lizzie but Bill rejects this and leaves to try and salvage the deal.

Frank walks in on Natalia as she checks off another day since Rafe went to prison. Later, as she works at Company, he offers to take her shift so she can have a break. It seems like her life is 'in a holding pattern' and he says that waiting around for Rafe is 'pathetic'. He knows this from first hand experience; he put his life on hold for years and just got old and boring. If she wants to take care of her son, she needs to take care of herself too, he says.

At The Beacon, Olivia's phone rings. Decker asks her to go to China. She's breathless. He tells her his plans. She's startled that he wants her to go today but agrees to go anyway. As she packs, she becomes too weak to stand. She calls Natalia and tells her that she needs her help. After she hangs up, Natalia hands her shift off to Frank and leaves. This isn't exactly what he had in mind.

When Natalia arrives at The Beacon, Olivia explains the situation and admits that she is overwhelmed. "What do you need me to do for you?" Natalia asks. She slips into her disguise as Olivia's assistant and answers the door when Decker arrives. She gets Olivia and tells Decker that, since she is supposed to be the face for a family chain, should she be leaving town when her daughter is in a play? Olivia suggests that she do the presentation via satellite with her daughter rather than in person. He likes the idea and agrees. After he leaves with a smile, Olivia collapses on the bed. Natalia wants to take her to the hospital. Olivia can barely walk and she worries that Decker might see her like this. Natalia suggests they hide her in a laundry cart and smuggle her out. Olivia hates that idea. They bicker and Natalia threatens to call an ambulance. Holding her, Natalia walks her out.

Natalia brings Olivia to Cedars and refuses to leave her alone despite Olivia's protests. Rick shows up and suggests that Natalia stay and provide a second set of ears. The women bicker but seem more comfortable with this.

Decker returns to the office. Bill begins apologizing. Decker tells Bill that he didn't need Lizzie. He's been getting great calls from all over the world about his presentation and he's impressed. He doesn't think that Lizzie is cut out for this business and is glad that Bill has proved himself to everyone. After shaking his hand, he leaves. Later, as Bill talks to investors, he tells them that Spaulding is not part of this deal; it's Lewis all the way.

Back in the basement, Lizzie tells Grady that he smells good and asks him to come closer. "A lot of good relationships start out the wrong way," she tells him, explaining that she's involved with someone who gets her tied up in the wrong ways. She talks too much for him. He tries putting the gag back in her mouth and she bites him. Sirens can be heard and he runs off. Time passes and no one shows up.

As Grady heads up the stairs of the station, he runs into Dinah. She claims that she didn't call the cops. They go into her office and argue. He thinks she needs to say thank you for the 'gift' her gave her. All that she ever does is complain and order him around, he complains. She admits that he's right and his plan seems to have worked this time. He wants a thank you. She kisses him.

Ewww. C'mon. That kiss with Grady and Dinah was absolutely DISCUSTING.

I have lost all respect for Dinah.

Where were the security people that should have prevented Lizzie from being kidnapped? Decker and Bill did not seem worried that she was missing. Bill got just what he wanted, the deal with Decker without Lizzie.

I thought Dinah might do the right thing and call the police. I do not like her actions at all. They must get rid of Grady.

I do not think that Alan is behind the kidnapping, he wanted Lizzie to do the presentation on her own. Mean as he can be, what would he gain by loosing this project to Bill Lewis? They needed this deal to put Spaulding back on top. This time Lizzie should have listened to her Granddad, Bill thought nothing of turning on her.

I hope that Olivia will be okay.

Gina Tognoni (Dinah) tells Soap Opera Digest what's going to happen during this storyline: After telling Grady she's lucky to have him, and that kidnapping Lizzie was a smart move, Dinah proves that she's still her old self this coming week as she amps up her role in Lizzie's kidnapping. Grady continues to hold Lizzie captive in the basement of WSPR, keeping her in the dark about his identity. While this happens, Dinah does damage control, and rounds up some of Lizzie's things to make it look as if she took off. Later, she pretends to be surprised when Bill comes to her with a ransom note he received regarding Lizzie, and begs her help. She plays innocent, and even convinces him NOT to call the cops. Once again, she gains her little brother's trust, and then has Grady change his demand for more money to 5 million dollars to be exact.
Gina Tognoni also says in the article that it's not about the money for Dinah. It's about covering her butt, so she won't get in trouble. She's afraid if she fesses up, she'll go down with Grady. - Basically she's torn between doing the right thing and saving her own ass!

I don't like this s/l. Greasy's antics are too much for GL. I hope they end it soon before I quit watching. I probably will quit anyhow if they turn Bill & Lizzie into enemies. They need to bring back Jeffry & Reva.

They need to bring back Jeffrey and Reva. The show suffers without them. Boy that kiss between Diana and Grady, was disgusting to say the least...He is so beneath Dinah. He also doesn't THINK !! He just DOES !!! He is no Cyrus...Grady doesn't have a brain in his head !! PLEASE do not put Daisy, back with Grady...He is a criminal, without emotions. Whatever, helps him, he will do.
