The Gift.

Lizzie and Bill banter, Vanessa rejects Billy and Grady has a present for Dinah.

Lizzie sits in her room and rehearses her presentation. Meanwhile, Bill takes his morning jog before returning to the mansion. He goes up to Lizzie's room. They begin bantering and then fight over the bathroom. She points out that there are many bathrooms in the house. Frustrated, he walks off. She groans.

Downstairs, Alan leaps into his wheelchair when Vanessa and Billy walk down the stairs. He plays up his health so they will get the paper for him.

Dinah sorts through the electricity bills at the TV station. She heads over to the mansion to see her mother. Vanessa assumes she's come for trouble. Dinah explains that the electric company is trying to close her down and she blames Vanessa for this. Vanessa explains that they've been over this before and there is no plot against her. Dinah doesn't believe it and accuses her mother of joining Bill's side. Dinah begins ranting at her and threatens that Bill's deal is far from done. Her mother advises her not to do something she will regret.

Grady relaxes on a tabletop in the Spaulding garden when Daisy spots him. She hides in the bushes. He finds her. She claims that she lost an earring. He assumes she's following him to catch him doing something illegal. She explains that she's been worried since seeing him with Alan. He assures her he isn't working for Alan. She guesses he must be working for Lizzie and walks off. He follows her through the park and tells her that Lizzie isn't his type; he's only working for the Spauldings and nothing else. She wonders why he would want to get involved with the people who made him a murderer. If he can work for Alan, he can't be sorry for what he did. He tries to rationalize this and suggests that her attempt to become a junior cop is a way for her to replace her mother. "People in this town are so judgmental. I don't understand why you want to stay here," he says. She reminds him that she stood up for him against her family; now she realizes that he's too self-centered and that's why they can't work. He asks her what she did with the key he gave her. She storms off.

Dinah goes to see Alan and asks him why he isn't doing anything about Bill and Lizzie. He plays up his recovery. She suggests the doctors must have cut out what made him himself. After she stomps off, he laughs and gets up for a drink.

Vanessa runs into Billy upstairs. He asks her out to eat. She turns him down and makes it clear that she only moved in because of Bill. "We're here because of Bill and that's it," she states categorically before walking away.

Bill and Lizzie arrive at the office. She wants to practice the presentation. They glance over their presentation and talk about how great it looks. She shows him some more changes she made to his work. He's annoyed and begins crossing things out on her paper. They wrestle around and smile. He walks off. She follows. He tells her that he doesn't want her distracting him. They soon begin arguing and, as it escalates, Decker walks in and demands to know what he is walking in on. He accuses them of being unprofessional. When he steps out to take a call, Lizzie repeats that this is her family's business and she won't step aside. He is acting like a child and she won't deal with him anymore.

Daisy goes to Company. Buzz asks her what's wrong. She hands him the key that Grady gave her. Exasperated, Buzz thought she was over him. So did she; her life was back on track but she's not happy. Buzz knows it's tough to end things with someone, even if it is the right thing. He advises her to fake that she is happy and eventually, maybe, it will be true. She thinks that's terrible advice.

Grady goes to the Spaulding-Lewis building. As he writes on the sign, Dinah runs over and clips him on the head. She tells him that he is a failure. In a few hours, Bill and Lizzie will be presenting to stockholders around the world and their success is his fault. She wishes that she had gone with Cyrus like she originally planned. After she storms off, he kicks out.

Daisy goes to Harley's to flush the key down the toilet. Before she can, Grady starts smashing bottles against the house. She looks out and yells at him to stop. He drifts away. She goes out and cleans up the mess. She tries to throw away the key but can't.

Lizzie arrives at home to check on Alan. He tells her that she is doing a terrific job but Bill is dragging her down. He can't understand what she even gets out of her relationship with Bill. If she wants Bill removed, he only needs to make a phone call to Decker and it will be done. She turns him down and gets dressed for the meeting. Alan talks her up and tells her that she can accomplish anything without Bill. She would miss not having him around, he insists. "I will," she admits.

Bill walks in and catches his father drinking. He takes his glass away and asks him why he was drinking. Billy admits that he moved in to make the moves on Vanessa but she's turned him down. "I had the most perfect person in the world and I threw it all away," he says. Being in the mansion reminds him of all the things that he has lost. Bill tells him that drinking won't help. He wants with Lizzie what his father once had with Vanessa and the business will have to come second. When he downs his father's drink, he realizes that it's not bourbon, it's ice tea. Billy smiles and urges him to run off and tell Lizzie how he feels.

Billy rubs his son's success in Alan's face and tells him that Lizzie and Bill will be together from now on.

At the office, Decker paces, worried that Lizzie hasn't shown up. Bill calls Lizzie and leaves a message, telling her that he has something important to say to her.

Dinah arrives outside of the office and tries to sneak past the security guard. He refuses to let her in. She wanders off and finds Grady. He's been waiting for her. She doesn't want to be around anyone. He apologizes for letting her down and explains that he got her a gift to make her feel better. He takes her down to the basement and reveals that he's abducted Lizzie. He smiles. Dinah's mouth hangs open.

Next on Guiding Light:

Bills calls around for Lizzie and Decker tells him to go ahead without her or the deal is over.

Bill tells Dinah that Lizzie put her family first and set him up.

HE'S THROWING BOTTLES AT YOUR HOUSE! Where's the question? Get the restraining order before or after a latte? Chuck the key in a lake, but not down the commode. It'll just sit there at the bottom and not go anywhere...well unless you have a sooper suck powered one and then it will go somewhere then get stuck in a pipe and some poor shmuck plumber will have to clean everything else out you've been flushing that you weren't supposed too...Now that would be a funny episode. Marina and Mallet DYI and they get sprayed with icky sewage. Bet they're learn to chew with their mouths closed then

morisey, love the last statement of your posting. Couldn't stop laughing. Now that should be the line of the day!!
I don't understand Gray at all. He sure does like destroying other people's property. Daisy is a ditz and will always be a ditz. Billy is my hero right now. Yesterday he irritated me but then today he was okay. Loved the ice tea trick. Bill should lose the deal today with Decker. Lizzie won't be there so can he follow through with the speach? I hope not. Grady kidnapping Lizzie - what is he going to do with her? Actually what can he do with her? Hold her for ransom? Guess we will just have to wait and see. Good old Alan is returning more and more every day. Thank you!! Don't understand why Vanessa would want to live in the mansion. Why does everyone want to live there? Wait till Alan kicks all the "hillbillies" out. Can't wait.

First I'm glad that Mallet and Marina weren't in today's episode (Thank God)!

What the hell did Grady do! - My God! Grady kidnaps Lizzie, to cheer Dinah up?! (who does that)
Today, Dinah was beginning to realize that going after Bill & Lizzie wasn't working anymore and that it was over, there was nothing she or Grady or anyone was going to change that! At the point at the end of the episode she was tired of this and just wanted to move on. - Then Grady took Dinah down to see Lizzie bound and gagged in a chair and Dinah was just completely floored by this!

Now we see that now Dinah is now torn between letting Lizzie go free or keeping her locked up by Grady? - don't worry; Next Week the guilt will get to Dinah (she will do the right thing - I Hope!).

What a discusting piece of crap Grady is. And a slow one at that! Dinah may be going through a phase of insanity, but Grady know's she would NEVER want him to do such a thing. And Grady isn't even going to be arrested. Poor Dinah will go running to Mallet to "admit her feelings", but of course she wont tell him about Grady.

I don't like Lizzie and Bill's merry-go-round storyline, but Grady's retarded one is worse. He doesn't do anything except scare and hurt people. Why do viewers want to see that?

A really good show today very watchable. I have always loved Billy and Vanessa and I love them together. Thank God Alan is his old self at first I thought Alan put Grady up to kidnapping Lizzie. Maybey after Dinah seeing what Grady did she will let things go w/ Bill and Lizzie.

I have mixed feelings about today's show. I will be so glad when they decide to write Greasy out. That kidnapping trick was so over the line. I wonder if Lizzie knows it was Greasy who did it. It looked like today that Bill was ready to make it a go with Lizzie, and now he thinks she stood him up for the presentation. I know the truth will likely come out in time, but how much time? Lets hope that Dinah washes her hands of Greasy.

Did anyone else notice the young actor that played Will was on tonight's new show LIFE on MARS? He had dyed blond/red hair - cute little guy - he is also in a commercial with the young actress that played Abby on Y & R.

I think this show has gotten really really boring!!! They need some action and something interesting to happen. Bill and Lizzie are driving me crazy, Vanessa needs a haircut and Grady is an idiot! I agree, Mallet and Marina are pretty pathetic. If Harley's house meant so much to Marina, why didn't she buy it??? This is supposed to be "drama", the only drama is when Bill and Lizzie fight everyday! Something shocking needs to happen...SOON.
