The house is sold, Vanessa moves into the mansion and Dinah is paranoid.

Alan wheels around his old office in the mansion. Bill walks in. Alan asks him to move out and go back to the ranch with the rest of the cowboys. Bill insists that the mansion is big enough for both of them and announces that he is moving his parents in. Alan says that Vanessa is welcome but Billy isn't. Bill tells him to get used to it. Turning, he then informs Beth of this and walks out. "I don't like him... but I like you," Alan smiles to Beth.

As Mallet and Marina paint Harley's house, they notice the marks where Zach and Jude's height used to be measured. Blake walks in and announces that the house has been sold. She tells them that everything has to be emptied out of the house. Marina says she'll call her family to empty their stuff out of the basement. Blake goes outside to put a 'sold' sign on the front lawn. Marina worries that things will never be the same in the house again.

Mel explains to her worried mother that Remy just has a habit of hibernating. They knock on his door. He answers. They enter and begin demanding to know why he hasn't been returning anyone's calls. He explains that he's been doing double shifts. As they snoop around, they discover his textbooks and realize he's been studying for the MCATs. Felicia is thrilled that this means there could be another doctor in the family. Felecia and Mel tease him. He reminds them that it takes years to become a doctor and forbids them to tell his father about this; he's still not sure this is the right choice. Mallet calls Mel to congratulate her on getting the house and invites her to the clearing out party. Felecia is excited that the sale has gone through and can't wait to celebrate.

Bill arrives at Company to see his mother. She tells him how much she is looking forward to spending quality time with her family. They talk of the times when she used to get the better of Alan and compete with him. She now knows that was all a waste of time, just like what he's doing with Lizzie. He informs her that Dinah is 'done' and 'out' and won't be living with them.

Outside, Dinah runs into Grady. She thinks he's looking for trouble. He's just looking for food. They walk down the street. She says that her brother will soon be sorry for what he's done to her. "Bill just passed me up for Lizzie the first chance he got and now he wants his mommy," she explains, imaging he is turning the whole family against her. He leaves to 'earn his pay'. Left behind, she calls her mother and tells her that they need to talk.

At the mansion, Vanessa and Bill walk in on Beth and Alan while they make out in his wheelchair. They exchange pleasantries before Bill takes his mother up to her room. "I don't want him or any of his family living in my house," Alan says. Meanwhile, Grady wanders around the mansion. Roxie growls at him. He picks the dog up and hides her in a cupboard. Walking into the office, he runs into Alan. He tells him that he is there to see Lizzie and explains that he's an 'independent contractor'. Bill walks in and demands to know what he is doing there. Grady decides it's time to leave. Bill tells Alan Lizzie needs to be more careful in the friends she's making. Alan agrees; that's exactly why he's there, he pointedly explains.

Alan finds Roxie in the cabinet and they chat before Bill walks over. He assures Alan that he doesn't want to hurt Lizzie; he just wants to teach her how to run a business. Alan thinks she already learned enough from him and doesn't need lessons from the school of 'hillbilly business'. He accuses Bill of being full of himself and vows to make sure that Lizzie sees that he and his family don't belong in this house.

Dinah and Vanessa are having dinner at Towers. She accuses her mother of plotting with Bill and can't believe that she is still taking his side. At times like this, Dinah wishes she still had her father. Vanessa says that Bill just wants her around to handle Alan and she's sure that she and her brother will make up over time. Dinah begins having a tantrum and threatens to join the carnival again. Vanessa insists this isn't about her; she's just concerned about Bill and his grief. Dinah warns her: Bill is too stupid to understand the mistake he's making, but there will be consequences. After Dinah walks out. Grady comes out of the woodwork and makes a pass at Vanessa. He offers to leave, suggesting that she's into younger guys. Looking him over, she wonders what he's into.

Beth corners Bill and accuses him of being reckless and competitive. She worries that could cause trouble for her daughter. Later, she talks to Alan. He reminds her that they have to get rid of Bill, regardless of how Lizzie feels about him.

At Harley's, the Coopers sort through all of their things as they clean up. Coop and Blake catch up. Frank remembers old times and they miss Harley. They toast to the Cooper family. Buzz remembers how they built the place together, even though it was a 'construction nightmare'. Marina quietly drinks alone on the couch.

The Boudreaus arrive and join in the drinking. Remy asks Marina if she's okay. She feels like she's being a sap about the house. He tells her that she can move in if she wants. The families soon begin playing football in the living room. Marina's tired and decides to leave. Frank drives her home. After seeing how depressed Marina was, Felecia tells Mallet that she doesn't think the place is really ready to be bought; it's too much of a fixer upper. Blake tries to convince her otherwise, but Felicia withdraws the offer. Remy and Mel thank her. Felecia apologizes to everyone and they walk out. "What now?" Buzz asks. Blake says they'll have to start over. Mel and Mallet do the dishes. She thinks the house should go to someone who really appreciates it and is sure he already has someone in mind.

Marina and Frank go to Company. He tells her about the house he lost for her mother. She thinks they're a pair of saps. All that she can think about now is having a yard and a barbecue. He says that they could live is a storage unit and still have fun. "Lucky saps," she sighs.
Felecia walks her son home. He thanks her for everything she and Clayton have done. She tells him how proud she is of him. They hug.

Dinah goes home to her room and talks to a photo of her father. She wishes he was around to be there for her. She's all alone and no one understands her. "I miss you telling me that the good girl is in there somewhere," she says. When she goes outside, she runs into her brother. He tells her that she is part of an era that he is trying to forget. "You're no match for the Spauldings," she says.
