The Bad List. Friday, October 03 2008

Rafe is given his sentence, Olivia and Emma have a photo shoot and Cassie needs Cyrus' help when Josh isn't allowed into the country.

At the station, Mallet tells Frank that he is going to have to get a storage unit to house all of the stuff he stored in Harley's basement. Frank has had the stuff there since he broke up with Eleni and promises to take care of it. Today, he has other things on his mind. Rafe is being sentenced today. Mallet feels bad and thinks he's partly to blame for all of this.

Cassie's cupcakes are still in the oven so RJ's trip to school will be delayed. He wants Cyrus to take him. Cassie gives him a look so Cyrus makes an excuse. RJ gets a lift with a neighbor's mom after Cassie calls her. Cyrus tells Cassie he has a job interview this afternoon and he doesn't think he'll be coming back. He points out that he could have given RJ a ride but she obviously doesn't trust him so he doesn't think he should be around. After he walks away, she looks disappointed. She waters the flowers and Josh calls to tell her that he is in a bit of trouble. There's a problem letting him back into the country. Since he couldn't get a hold of Jeffery, he's calling her. His name is on a 'bad list' and they won't let him go home. There's a party at Towers and Ambassador Compton will be there and he owes him a favor. Josh needs her to sneak in and talk to him on his behalf.

Olivia wakes up for work. Emma runs in to wish her well and help her out of bed. She bosses her mother around while she gets dressed. Emma gets into her new outfit and they rush off together for their mother-daughter photo shoot.

At Company, Buzz tells Daisy that Rafe accepted a plea bargain. That's the first she's heard of it and she's not happy. Buzz tells her that a plea bargain is the right thing to do. He'll only get two years this way. They turn and see Natalia walk in. Daisy asks if she can go to court with her. The women hug. Daisy gets changed and they meet outside. "Your family has been very good to us and you must all think I'm a horrible mother," Natalia says. Daisy says that isn't the case at all. Natalia feels bad; she couldn't get her son a decent attorney but Harley smuggled him out of the country.

Mallet goes down to the cells to get Rafe for his hearing. He takes a moment to sit with him. Rafe appreciates it. He's not having any second thoughts; he did what he did but wishes he could take it back. Mallet says everyone has days like that, but adults don't get do-overs. They go upstairs. Rafe waits while Mallet talks to Frank.

Daisy and Natalia arrive in the courtroom. They sit down. Frank sits beside Natalia. She wishes her son hadn't given up. Buzz tells Daisy he's proud of her for coming. Rafe is brought in. His mother bursts into tears. The judge comes in and reads the letter that Jeffrey wrote on Rafe's behalf. Frank takes the stand and talks about how rough things have been for Rafe and about Gus' death. Mallet is up next and explains his investigation of Gus and insists that Rafe is not a criminal, just a kid who made a bad decision. The judge deliberates for awhile and then tells Rafe that he is lucky to have such support, but he's committed a serious crime. He's sentenced to two years in prison. Natalia begins to yell out for her son and runs down to embrace him. He tells her that he will be okay and that he wants her to live her own life while he is away. Daisy rushes over next. He tells her to live her own life too. She cries and hugs him. The guards take him away.

Buzz arrives at Company and finds Olivia and Emma sitting at the bar. He explains that he was just at Rafe's sentencing. Emma asks if they can make a card for Natalia since she is sad. Before they can leave, Natalia and the others arrive. Emma walks over to Natalia to give her a hug and offers to draw pictures for Rafe. Olivia says she's sorry and takes her daughter away to their photo shoot. Daisy sits down beside Natalia and Frank brings them chicken noodle soup. He offers to take them to the mall. Natalia tells him he's being kind but there is nothing he can do.

Cassie goes to see Cyrus at his place. She needs a favor and explains Josh's call. She doesn't have an invitation to the party and doesn't know how to sneak in so she needs his help. "I'm not good enough to be around your son but when you need a thief or a con man I come in handy?" he asks. She's ready to leave but he quickly slips into a suit. He takes her home and she dresses. He gives her tips on how to act. She shows him her dress. He's impressed.

Cassie and Cyrus arrive at Towers for the party. They practice looking mysterious and important. A security guard walks over and tells them that they don't belong there.

Natalia takes Frank to the house Gus bought her. This is where she wants to be right now. They begin sweeping. She explains that she has two years to make the place perfect for her son. She marks off a day on the calendar. They go to the office and fax the calendar to Rafe.

Mallet returns to work. He pulls Rafe's wanted poster out of his desk. "I'm sorry," he says. His phone rings. It's Marina. He needs to see her.

Buzz finds Daisy still sitting at Company. She asks him not to bring her any more food. She shows him a picture of Rafe she took with her phone. He's the first guy that she fell in love with and she only has one picture of him. She feels like a horrible person. Buzz tells her that she's just sad and that's okay.
