Over my Dead Body and Yours.

Thursday, September 25 2008
Daisy has an idea, Doris apologizes, Natalia is desperate, Olivia changes her mind.

Natalia groans while she watches Doris giving a press conference about youth crime. Doris uses Rafe as a poster boy for youth crime and announces that she is creating a special task force dedicated to youth crime. Vince Russo calls and tells Natalia that he's just seen the press conference and he can help her.

At Company, Buzz asks Olivia about Ava not returning. He then congratulates her about her new job with Decker. She turned it down, realizing that there are more important things. Natalia walks in and hands Olivia more money that she's saved up. She wants to pay her debt back and she doesn't want to owe Russo anything. Olivia demands to know what is really going on. Natalia decides that she will make it work and claims that she can handle it. She walks off.

Daisy and Ashlee meet up at Towers. Daisy still blames herself for Rafe being in jail. They spot Doris walking in and run over to her. Inviting her to lunch with them, they tell her that they have a solution to her youth crime problem. "Me," Daisy smiles. They sit down and tell her their plan to have Daisy work as an informant. "I think that all this town needs is another cop from the Cooper family," Doris shrugs. Daisy explains that she knows the teenaged mind and can get plenty of information. Doris starts to like the idea. Daisy can be the juvenile delinquent she has rehabilitated to solve crime. She refuses to let her boyfriend out though. Daisy begs her to move his trial up. Doris agrees, but only so long as Daisy brings her something press worthy.

At Harley's, Mallet is sure that Clayton will never actually buy the house and he's sick of talking about it. Marina puts paint on his face. He accuses her of not wanting to sell the house either. She's just trying to look like she wants to sell it by trying to sell it to someone who won't actually buy it. "You're a sentimental sap," he says. Before they can throw paint at each other, his alarm goes off and he leaves her to clean the brushes.

When Marina arrives at work, Mallet shows her the list of possible people to join her task force. She's not thrilled that Doris has lumped her with this. And she's not happy that Mallet keeps sticking his nose in her job and not doing his own. After she sends him off, Daisy arrives and informs her that Doris has hired her to work on the task force as her guide to kids on the street "Over my dead body and yours," Marina laughs. She needs qualified professionals. Daisy rants at her about trying to do the right thing. Marina tells her she can join the police academy. Daisy flashes a file about a criminal she knows who Marina has never been able to arrest. After she trudges off, Marina rants to Mallet about how selfish Daisy is. Mallet calms her down and tells her that they should encourage Daisy. Like her mother and grandmother, she'll do whatever she wants anyway, but this way they can monitor her.

At Towers, Doris admits to her daughter that she's gone as far as she can go with the Rafe case. If Daisy can do what she promises, then she will have plenty of other thugs to go after. Doris tells her that she was wrong. Ashlee doesn't understand this statement. Doris explains that she was wrong about the surgery; she's impressed by how great she has done and how she has changed herself. Ashlee smiles.

Olivia and Emma are feeding the fish in the park. Emma asks her why Natalia is sad. Olivia explains and tells her that you have to stay in control of your life and not rely on other people. Emma reminds her that she got help when she was sick. Olivia spots the park sign with her name on it and takes it down. Later, Decker finds them. She tells him that he shouldn't trust Lizzie or her former husband, Bill. Before he walks off, she tells him that she has had a change of heart and thinks she can handle the new job. Sitting down, he warns her that this is a big commitment. She wants to provide for her kids and be a role model. After accepting the job, she takes her daughter home but becomes tired and has to sit down.

Natalia arrives at Company and tells Buzz that she has qualified for a home equity loan. As he looks the papers over, he tells her that if she signs them, she may as well kiss her house goodbye. He goes over the tiny print with her and explains everything that's wrong with this. When she leaves, she calls the bank and says that she's not interested in the loan anymore.

Ashlee tracks Daisy down at Company and gushes about how her mother apologized to her. Daisy starts to rant about how Marina has ruined her plan to help Rafe. Buzz sticks his head in and offers to talk to Marina. When he lets it slip that Rafe is having a hard time in prison, Daisy runs upstairs to see Natalia. She apologizes for all of the trouble that she's caused. Natalia says that none of this is her fault. Daisy is sure that it is and thinks that everyone would have been better off if she hadn't brought them there. Natalia says she should be glad that she brought Gus and his son together. Things just don't always turn out the way you want them to. Daisy still wants to help. They both feel like they keep failing Rafe. Daisy misses both of her moms. Talking to Natalia has helped her decide what she has to do.

Alone, Natalia prays to Gus for guidance about what to do for their son. Rafe calls to check in on her. Their call is only allowed to last a minute. She claims that she is fine. He doesn't believe her. The call ends. She promises to get him out no matter what it takes. Letting down her hair, she goes to see Russo.

Marina and Mallet walk into Company. They tell Buzz that they've found something for Daisy that they can live with. Meanwhile, Daisy sneaks into the police station and steals some of Marina's files before running off.

Next on Guiding Light:

Olivia is introduced as the new face of Galaxy. She begins having trouble and Buzz rushes her to Cedars.

Russo makes a move on Natalia.

OMG, what are the writers doing to my show? I cannot tolerate another scene of giddy teenage activity from Marina/Mallet. These two are either eating chips (with the mouths open) or hanging all over each other. I don't care what they do in their private life but don't force that crap on us on GL. So sorry, but those two drive me crazy. Seeing Daisy again today just another pain. So many things start up and then never finish. For example that house....geezzzzz, paint it or tear it down. Marina quit whinning and grow up. Sell the stupid house already. It isn't yours!! This epi was like another Wednesday. Can the show get any worse than this? Is this it? (Not really crabby but disgusted - sorry).

Hi: GLandWT, mom6, Sunflower23, Julien.

Ashlee looked great today. It looks like she has lost a lot of weight. I wish she and Coop would get back together.
The SLs SUCK. Reva is all they got going for them. Come on writers pick up the pace. I could do better then this.

I have been a fan of Guiding light since the 70's, but what is going on? The show has no heart!!! Plus the writers seem to think we are idiots. Cyrus breaking into a house no gloves mid-day like a school kid, wasn't he a master thief? Natalia, she is working three jobs yet leaving a house sitting whilst paying rent to live somewhere else. Then we have Harley who deserted her daughter. How many years does it take to paint a house? Plus how many people went into the house when Lizzie and family were there? Please take Grady of the show, I see him and fast forward, what a terrible actor. Reva in the past few weeks what gives with the dresses she wears, maybe if your fifteen and have no taste, a little too much flesh for me. Where is everyone? Please bring some life back to the show and some good story lines that make sense.
Olivia looks great and so does Ashley she has come a long way. I do like the new filming though. I miss actors like Jonathan that give some profesionalism to the show.

Sorry guys, but I don't think there is anything left in Springfield worth watching. I used to love watching this show when I could watch Jonanthan and Tammy, Reva and Josh. Dinah and Mallet, Harley and Gus, Danny and Michelle, but now there isn't one part that I'm interested in anymore. The new format is horrible, and they completely destroyed the best show on tv. CBS in general has been very dissapointing as of late - cancelling my shows! But I won't go into that here.

I was a loyal GL fan for many years, and I figured I'd give it a chance, but between the new format, storylines, and Grady's no talent when it comes to acting, I've gotta say goodbye.

So I want to wish all you watchers who haven't left yet good luck, I think your going to need it. Me, I'm off to Port Charles. See what's going on in that town.
