It's Jeffrey and Reva's wedding day, Josh tries to stop the wedding, Bill stops Alan from humiliating himself.

In New York, Lizzie rushes into the Blackthorn Group offices and discovers Alan and Bill arguing in the hall. She stands back and listens while Alan explains how he will tell everyone about the power of Gus. Bill tells him that he'll ruin his career if he does this; he's a sick man. "Lizzie needs you," Bill says. He'd gladly throw Alan to the wolves, but he won't let him hurt Lizzie like this. He calls security. They grab Alan and drag him off. Lizzie stifles a smile as Bill walks off. A man comes out searching for Spaulding. "I'm Spaulding," Lizzie says, introducing herself and walking into the meeting.

Bill takes Alan back to his hotel room. He orders his jet prepared so that he can take Alan back to Cedars. Alan continues to tell Bill that the investors will flock to him. Lizzie runs in and Alan tells her that Bill is their enemy. Lizzie thanks Bill for what he just did. Alan is baffled. Lizzie tells him that he would have ruined the family name if he had gone into that meeting. Bill could have let him be destroyed, but let him off. She tells Bill that they may soon have a level playing field between them again. Suddenly, Alan drops on the bed.

Back in Springfield, Buzz is allotting work to his family and friends so they can get the wedding ready. He runs off to find Daisy. She is still icing cupcakes at the house. Jeffrey pops up and excitedly declares that he is marrying Reva today. Across the street, Josh overhears this. His brother tells him he's not a man if he lets this happen.

Jeffrey calls Reva and asks her if she is going to show up for their wedding. She's surprisingly serious but promises to be there. When she hangs up the phone, she turns to Lillian and tells her that she can not tell Jeffrey about her cancer today. After the honeymoon she will tell him, she says. Lillian accuses her of doing what she did to Josh. Reva says this is different; last time she knew she had cancer, this time she doesn't. They argue until Jeffrey arrives. Lillian hugs her friend and wishes them luck before walking out. There's an awkward moment. Reva covers and sends him off to get the license.

At Cross Creek, Reva searches for her shoes and discovers the demo that Jeffrey made. She puts it on and listens. She begins to cry as it plays. Jumping up, she runs across town and tells Jeffrey that she's found a lump and her cancer may have come back. He puts his arms around her. They sit at the park and she worries about how she has ruined the day. He tells her to forget all of that. She worries that Josh may think another postponement is a point for him. She knows he didn't sign on for a trip to the cancer ward. He tells her to shut up; he didn't just sign on for a wedding, he signed on for everything and still wants to marry her. She cries. He tells her not to be sorry; she's gotten him though so much and he loves her more than anything else. He wants to be with her in sickness and in health. "Don't keep me waiting woman," he says, kissing her and walking away. She smiles.
Marina shows Mallet how to prepare the decorations. Frank and Coop prepare the ice. He teases Frank about Natalia.

Josh and Billy are at the construction site arguing. Billy tells his brother to "rescue" Reva by picking her up and taking her off to stop the wedding. Josh refuses to kidnap Reva when he's supposed to be a man of peace. He returns to his church and discovers the Bible that he lent Olivia has been returned. Opening it up, he discovers a set of photos of he and Reva. He jumps into his truck and drives off to pick up his brother. "Let's do this," he says. Josh tells his brother that Reva must secretly want him to rescue her just like she always has in the past. He plans to pick her up on the pretence that he is bringing her to a package from Shayne and then drive her to Tulsa instead. On the way, he's sure that she'll figure out that this is what she really wants. They jump back in the truck and drive off.

Lillian arrives at the house while Buzz continues to prep. She seems sad but won't explain. When he looks at the cupcakes, he finds Daisy writing "what the hell" on them. He runs over to Jeffrey and finds him writing vows. He can't think of anything new to add and throws his pad away. Meanwhile, Frank and Coop watch Marina and Mallet make out. They wonder why they are the ones so unlucky in love. Frank drinks. Buzz asks who will catch the bouquet. "I have butterfingers," Marina says.

Alan is taken back to Cedars. Rick examines him. "Your brain is an antique and you've gotta take care of it," he tells Alan. After Alan is taken away, Lizzie worries that she isn't strong enough to help him through this without her mom. "You're not alone," Bill says, hugging her. She tells him that he doesn't have to be there but there's something she needs to tell him... Before she can, Rick runs out and announces that he has to operate. Alan may never be the same again and is refusing to let them operate. "He doesn't want to let go of Gus," she realizes. She goes to his side. Alan talks about seeing Gus. She tells him he needs to stop depending on Gus and have the operation. He says that she is the only person who can help him now and asks her to reach into his pocket. She discovers an old photo of herself. He reminds her that she is the future of Spaulding.

Josh drives up to Cross Creek telling himself that this is what Reva wants. He looks through the door and listens to her as she tells Marah about her wedding to Jeffrey and how much they belong together. "I've never been happier in my life. I had no idea I could even be this happy," she gushes. Josh is crushed and drives away. He tracks down Jeffrey. "You're welcome here. There's plenty of beer," Jeffrey offers. Josh tells him how serious a wedding is and that he loves Reva enough to respect her choices even when he knows they are wrong. It's painful for him to turn the cheek and walk away. "It wouldn't have worked anyway," Jeffrey taunts him. As he walks away, Josh tackles him. Jeffery gets up. "I've been trained to hurt people, " he reminds him, but Josh has been asking for this for a long time. They tear into each other.

Back at Cross Creek, Reva's phone rings. She doesn't want to answer but finally does. It's Rick. He tells her that her results are in and Dr. Hendrix is looking them over right now. She says she'll be in later.

Over at Cedars, Lizzie tells Bill that in the space of only a few hours, everything has changed. He admits that he was tempted to let Alan destroy himself. He's put someone else first for once, she observes. He laughs thinking about how the Blackthorn Group lost their Spaulding. "They got a Spaulding," she smiles: Her. She talked to them and they offered to back her. They call: By the end of the day she'll be in charge of 49 percent of the company. "I did it for us," she smiles. He grimaces. She kisses him.
