Olivia is irate about Alan, Josh makes another pass at Reva, Jeffrey questions himself, Bill and Lizzie discover where Alan has gone.

Olivia and Natalia stand by the water. Natalia is upset over what Rick said about Alan's brain. Still, she doesn't think she can stop believing. Olivia says the blood is messing with his head. "God works in mysterious ways," Natalia says. "So does Alan Spaulding," Olivia barks. Their lives are crap and they desperately wanted to believe in something that would make them seem less awful, but they aren't. Rick was just trying to stop them from being fools, Olivia says. Natalia can't shake the sense that there is more and the timing of Gus' death seems like a miracle. She imagines that Olivia is being cynical and unrealistic. Olivia insists she is only being realistic and will expose Alan as a faker. Natalia takes her hand and drags her to the hospital.

Bill arrives at Lizzie's door. She doesn't want to talk to him after she caught him trying to sell her grandfather out. He reminds her that she was trying to do the same thing. She was trying to get her daughter back, not make the Fortune 500, she argues. Jeffrey arrives, searching for Alan. There's no sign of him. Lizzie has no idea where he vanished to. She explains his brain problem to Jeffrey and then tells him that she cannot testify anymore. He's annoyed and reminds her that she is helping to cover up Tammy's murder. Lizzie lashes out at him, claiming she is doing all of this for her daughter, something he'd never understand because he's never been there for his own. Jeffrey walks out.

At Cross Creek, Reva is bickering with her father on the phone. A delivery arrives at the door. She snaps at the delivery man and then signs and sends him off. She pulls a dress out of the box and looks at herself in the mirror. Josh sticks his head in. "It's a little simple for my tastes but it'll do," he says. He asks her to try it on and give him a preview of her wedding to him. She repeats that she will be marrying Jeffrey in a couple of weeks. He jokingly says he should be thanking Alan for tying Jeffrey up in legal limbo. This is annoying her. He tells her that he got a note from Shayne. They recall their children's past romantic misadventures. Josh points out that she will never have memories like this with Jeffrey. "We're going to have brand new ones," she says. He spots the JOR monogrammed towels. "Thank God for garage sales," he jokes as he leaves.

Alone, Reva writes an email to Shayne and invites him to her wedding. Later, Lizzie arrives and they chat. Lizzie starts to feel bad about lashing out at Jeffrey earlier. They eat cookies and talk about what Lizzie should do. She worries that Alan has collapsed somewhere. "I need you to tell me what to do," she says. Reva can't make this decision for her and tells her that she will have to make this choice herself, right or wrong. Lizzie recalls all the stories her grandfather used to tell her and how well he took care of her when she was little. She knows that he is not a good man but she still needs to find him. She hurries off.

At the courthouse, Jeffrey catches Rafe as he walks through with a guard. "I never meant to hurt you," Rafe says. Jeffrey knows and tells him that he will do everything he can to help him. Doris rushes in and orders Rafe to his cell. Jeffrey says it was an accident. Doris doesn't care and tells him to focus on the Spaulding case and let her do her job. "Or did you lose your key witness?" she taunts before stomping away. He goes outside and sighs. He gets a call from Ava's treatment center about a new therapy they want to start. They fax the paperwork to his office as he arrives. He looks it over and shakes his head.

Lizzie returns home and finds Bill waiting for her. She accuses him of betraying her again and says that he would throw his own father under a bus. He's impressed by how loyal she is being to Alan but reminds her that she would do the same thing for Sarah and it's Alan's fault that she's gone. She can't turn her back on him again. His sickness is a sign that she is making a mistake. He tells her to find her daughter. As he leaves, she cries.

Olivia returns home and tells Emma not to let Natalia know she is playing hookie from the doctor. The look on her little girl's face changes her mind though. She runs off to her doctor's appointment. Natalia waits for her. Olivia comes out and says that things aren't as bad as she imagined. Natalia suggests that positive thinking is working for her. Olivia doesn't know if Natalia is naive or just annoying. Natalia tells her to have faith. Jeffrey arrives and tells her that Doris had him removed from Rafe's case. She's still optimistic and leaves. Jeffrey's bewildered and envies her optimism. Olivia feels sorry for her; she's sure that one day Natalia will wake up and realize she was part of a cosmic joke. He hands her the paper that was faxed to him about Ava. They look over the paperwork and he says that he can't make the decision; all of his decisions have backfired so far. She tears the paper up and tells him that he is a good father. "I may not know what I'm talking about, but you're a family man," she says. He picks up the papers and says he'll have them re-faxed. She smiles.

Josh goes to his church. Alan calls him and asks for some counseling. Josh has heard that he's been counseling half the women in town. Alan wants to discuss his spiritual journey with him. Later, Bill arrives with some blueprints for Josh to look over. They talk about their problems. Bill doesn't know about the spiritual thing and he's shocked that Alan seems to be into it. Josh explains that Alan just called him; he's on a spiritual journey in New York City right now. That seems like a strange choice of location to Bill. Josh explains that he went to prove to the doubters that his visions were real. "Alan is not on a spiritual journey: He's trying to steal my company!" Bill concludes, running out. After he leaves, Josh gets a note from Shayne suggesting that it's time for him to take off the gloves and fight for Reva.
Jeffrey returns to Reva at Cross Creek, hoping he is not too late. "Pack a bag. We're getting married!" he announces.

Bill runs over to Lizzie's and tells her that Alan is in New York City. She decides to pack. He offers to come. She has to do this on her own. He smirks as she runs upstairs. Taking out his phone, he calls to have his jet prepared.

Natalia returns to the water and sits down. Frank calls and asks her to come and see Rafe. She hurries over and immediately asks her son if he's eating right. She admits that she called Mallet but only to keep him safe. He knows that she didn't turn him in. She apologizes again. He tells her that everything will be fine. Leaning in, she tells him that Alan has a blockage in his brain and his visions may have only been symptoms of his condition. She hopes that, like her, he will choose to believe it is more than that. He'll try. Olivia listens and shakes her head.
