Daisy looks for a job, Cassie and Daisy have a confrontation, Alan accuses Lizzie of betrayal.

While they unpack their groceries, Grady asks his brother for advice about Daisy. No one has ever put themselves on the line for him like she has and he really wants to thank her some how. Cyrus suggests that he just leave her alone. Grady says that he can't walk away from her anymore than he could walk away from Harley. They sit on the porch and drink beer. Grady wonders why his brother has gone silent. He begins to dig into him about Harley and compares his situation with Daisy to his with her mother. Cyrus tells his brother that he shouldn't let a "crush" get in the way of a shot at a decent life. Grady is offended; he appreciates what he's done for him but that doesn't give him the right to tell him what to do.

Daisy takes the "help wanted" sign off of the front door of Company and applies to Buzz and Frank. They ask her what happened to her other job. She says it didn't work out but she wants to earn their trust back. Buzz tells her there aren't enough dirty dishes in the world for that. They know she's a good person, but she has incredibly bad judgment. Frank tells her that she's compromised everything for a guy who won't be there for her. She begs them not to kick her out of the family. Buzz explains that she can't be kicked out but they're disappointed and she could be going to jail. Frank tells her she can't have the job and he's going to take her to her mother. As Frank drags her to the door, Grady pops up and says that they'll have to go through him. Frank and Grady spar over who can take care of her. She gets in the middle of them before it can get violent. Grady walks away. Daisy reminds Frank that she is not her mother; she can look after herself and knows what she wants: She wants to be treated like an adult.

Alex and Dinah go to visit Alan. They wake him up as he sleeps on the couch. They warn him that Jeffrey is trying to build another case against him. Alan isn't worried. Dinah is worried this could end up biting her. "He's just blowing smoke," Alan claims. Dinah hopes it isn't Gus telling him that. He assures her he knows this for a fact.

In the park, Bill insists to Lizzie that her grandfather had a real seizure and needs to be checked out. After he leaves, Jeffrey calls her and she tries to put him off, claiming that she is busy. She sighs and hurries home, informing Alan that she is going to postpone her trip to LA. She needs to take him to the hospital and have him checked out first. He is adamant that he is fine and repeats that his Gus visions are real. She tells him that he should have some tests for Beth and Peyton's sake.

Dinah arrives at home and overhears her brother planning to go to the hospital. He explains that he's taking Alan to the hospital with Lizzie. "Your soon-to-be ex-wife is in a mental hospital and you're worried about Alan Spaulding?" she asks, accusing him of being obsessed with Lizzie to the point of stalking. She tells him he's doing the right thing. He hurries out.

Lizzie takes Alan to the waiting room at Cedars. She fills out the insurance forms while he remembers being there while Gus was dying. She tells him that she wants him to be fine. He thanks her for taking care of him and asks her to wait for him while he's examined. After he goes in, she sits and waits. Bill arrives to check up. He sits to wait and pulls out some cards.

Alan is being examined by Rick. He demands another doctor. Before he can walk out, he spots Lizzie playing cards with Bill and becomes more infuriated. Rick walks out to them and asks them for some of Alan's symptoms. Alan stomps out and begins confronting them, accusing them of trying to have him declared incompetent. He accuses Lizzie of betraying her family and refuses to be part of her scheme. He storms out while Rick trails after him. Bill tells her Alan had no right to act that way. She says that he was right; she went to Jeffrey to rat him out. The only thing standing between her and her daughter is him. But the thought of Alan being sick makes everything else go out the window. She's sick of being alone and if she betrays Alan, she will have no family left. He offers to be there as long as she needs him.
Alan goes home and grimly stares at a photo of Lizzie before tuning it face down.

Blake and Mel go to visit Cassie. They eat ice cream and talk about doing a beach trip. Cassie thanks them for trying to cheer her up. When she gets up, she spots her divorce papers poking out of Mel's bag. The women freeze up. Cassie insists that she is fine; she just can't believe that Grady and Alan are going to walk but she's sure Jeffrey did all he could. Blake wants to go out for martinis but Cassie says she has a doctor's appointment. She repeats to Mel that she is confident that the divorce is the right thing and it's a done deal.

Cyrus goes to Company looking for his brother. Buzz tells him that Daisy has gone bonkers because of his brother. Cyrus wants to keep them apart too and insists that his brother is sorry. "Tammy is dead but it may not be too late for Daisy," Buzz says. He points out that all of the women in his family have been destroyed because of he and Grady. Cyrus calls him out for being a hypocrite. Buzz admits that he would do anything to protect his family too but... Cyrus worries that what is between Grady and Daisy is more than a crush.

As Cassie walks through the park, she runs into Daisy. She begins apologizing but Cassie storms off. Daisy runs after her and tells her that she was only trying to do what Tammy would have done; she gave Grady a second chance. "You need to get out of my face right now!" Cassie yells, accusing her of selling out her own cousin for a fling. Cyrus walks between them. He tells Daisy to go home. Cassie runs off. Cyrus follows. He catches up to her and she vents about everything and how Daisy gives her the same stupid looks that Tammy used to give her about Jonathan. They killed Tammy and now Daisy has the life that Tammy was supposed to have with Jonathan. "It's not fair!" she cries. He walks her home. She tells him to go. "I don't want you in my house. I don't want you anywhere near me!" she barks, slamming the door on him.

Daisy finds a shirtless Grady cleaning her car. She can't understand why. He tells her he just wanted to find a way to thank her. She deserves better than him and no one's ever stood up for him like she has. He apologizes for making her choose him over her family. He's ready to leave when she walks into his arms. They sit in the park. He doesn't know what to do now. He's spent more time in jail than out and might have died if he'd gone back in. She says that if you save someone's life, you're responsible for it. "Uh oh," he says. She talks about the hurt she sees in Cassie's eyes and how the whole town hates them. "The only thing you did wrong was choose me," he claims. She says that he chose her too. Everyone else has their own "pit crew" but they only have each other. She tells him this while he kisses her hand.
