Psycho Grannie.Tuesday, July 15 2008 |
Cyrus gets the goods on Reva, Grady seems to soften on Daisy, Hawk keeps trying to push Reva and Josh together.

Daisy goes over to Harley's but the door is locked. She tries breaking in without luck. Frank catches her and reminds her that Lizzie is staying there for the summer. She says she just left her radio upstairs. Frank says he packed it. "You miss your mom don't you?" he asks. She doesn't know where she belongs anymore.

Cyrus goes to see his brother in jail. They quickly begin fighting. He can't believe his brother was stupid enough to get involved with drugs. Grady insists that he was set up. "Nice place Springfield! I can really see why you like it!" he remarks sarcastically. He's sure that Reva the "psycho grannie" must have framed him. Cyrus tries to figure out how to think this through. Grady threatens that Daisy's family will regret this. Cyrus is tired of listening to his brother and leaves.

Hawk goes to see Josh and invite him to his own wedding. He's talking about the movie of course. Josh passes on the offer. Hawk can't believe it, but Josh is determined to avoid this.

Reva is dusting Cross Creek when Carson sticks his head in. He thought she would be staying away until the movie was over. She says the movie is turning her life upside-down. Before this happened, she was actually happy. She just wants her life back but she doesn't know what it is anymore. She orders him to go. Daisy comes in next, accusing Reva of setting Grady up. She guesses that her grandmother is living there now. Things must have gone wrong with Jeffrey. She tells her grandmother to fix things with him; he makes her more normal. They sit down. Daisy is sick of her family being so crazy: It's making her life suck. Reva tells her that Jeffrey is doing his best to get Rafe a reduced sentence. She asks her grandmother to leave her life alone. "Your life is a big mess too and you have less time to fix it," she says, walking out.

Josh goes into Company. Frank serves him. They awkwardly talk about their families. Frank thinks Josh needs to vent a little for himself. "Life is a little too much for me to handle right now," Josh admits. Frank says that he's a good guy. Josh gets tired of that. Frank says that if he can handle Reva, he can handle anybody.

Daisy goes to visit Grady. She can't believe how her family is treating him. She tells him that her grandmother was out of line but told her something: Rafe might be coming back. All she can think about, however, is getting Grady out, but she's not sure how. He has it handled, he claims. Frank and Reva storm in and pull Daisy away. "Looks like Daisy's through with you," Reva says. Grady grabs her: "We'll see. Looks like she's almost done with you."

Reva drags Daisy outside to yell at her. Hawk interrupts. Daisy runs off. "Been awhile since you raised a teenager," Hawk observes. Reva knows how Daisy feels but insists that Daisy and Grady are not her and Joshua, even she and Joshua are not she and Joshua anymore. Hawk says that he has invited Josh to the shooting of the wedding but he turned it down. He still thinks that Josh is the only man for her. Reva protests and refuses to go along to the shooting with him.

At the jail, Grady calls for a guard. "I need to speak to my minister. Revered Joshua Lewis," he smirks. Josh is soon brought in. He's not happy to see him and tries to leave. Grady begs him for help, claiming that a woman is manipulating him and trying to drag him to Hell. "You might know her, Reva Shayne? Do you believe that this nice sweet grannie could have a different side?" he asks. Josh walks out while Grady sarcastically begs him to pray for him.

Cyrus tracks down Frank at the station and confronts him for imprisoning his brother. Cyrus knows the routine; Frank pulled it on him already. Frank says he will do whatever he has to in order to protect Daisy.

Josh goes to Cross Creek and confronts Reva about Grady's accusations. He's sure that he is actually dangerous. She tells him she can take care of herself. "I guess you can," he says. Looking around, he asks if she and Jeffery are moving back in. "Just me," she admits. She begins to babble. Josh asks if he is causing the rift between she and Jeffrey. She's not sure; she's been confused lately and thinks they may have pushed Jeffrey too far. He helps her unpack and they remember all the other places they've lived in. Carson comes in and comments on their chemistry together. He tells Reva that they need to move her things into the backroom. Josh leaves. "He is always there for you," Carson says in amazement. Reva sits with her mouth open.

Cyrus finds Daisy sleeping in the park. She tells him that she has nowhere else to go. "I just want to go home," she admits. He takes her to Harley's and breaks in. They start baking cookies but they have no idea what they are doing. She burns her hand taking the cookies out of the oven. He puts ice on her hand. She feels like she can't do anything right. She feels terrible about how things are going with Grady. He knows how she feels; he's trying to save his brother and protect her from him at the same time.
As Reva takes out the trash, Hawk arrives with an invitation to the set. She tells him that she and Jeffrey are taking a break. He's excited, sure that she and Josh are on the glory road again. Reva tells him he doesn't know what he's talking about: Her life with Jeffrey is safe and easy; that's what she wants. Hawk admits that he got into this film because he knew that making her revisit her story with Josh would push them back together. "I should give you a swift kick in the butt!" she shouts. He says he's saved her life. "Jeffery makes me happy in a way that Josh never did," she insists. He waves the script. She says it's a fantasy. "Don't mean it can't come true," he bellows skipping off.

In the film office, Josh stares down at an old photo of he and Reva. Carson walks in and thanks him for dropping the lawsuit. Carson offers him a producer's credit. Josh turns it down.

Daisy goes to see Grady with cookies. She apologizes for her family. He accuses her of using him just to make Rafe look like a bargain in comparison. She says that she and Rafe were just kids but she really loves him. When she looks at him, she just wants him to hold her and love her. He takes her hand but a cop announces that time is up and takes her out. Grady smiles as he looks at the cookies, although they're barely edible. He slumps in his cell sadly.

Cyrus surprises Reva at home. She's uncomfortable and tells him to talk to the police. He accuses her of acting like she's above the law. His brother may deserve to be in jail for what he did to Tammy, but not for what she's framed him for. She admits she did it, but she doesn't care or think anyone else should. "You're right. You're Reva Shayne and we're nobody," he says, walking away. She goes inside and calls Jeffrey, telling him how much she misses him. Meanwhile, Cyrus pulls out his tape recorder and plays back the admission that Reva just made.

Daisy goes back to Harley's and lays in bed.
Josh kneels in his church and prays: "I want to do your will. I want... I don't know what I want..."
