Lizzie and Bill can't let go, Remy and Bill butt heads, Josh makes a surprising proposal, Jeffrey tells Reva to pack her bags.

Olivia arrives at the mansion with some things for Ava. Hilda informs her that her daughter isn't there and she left without Bill.

Bill arrives at the cabin and is startled to find Lizzie there, swinging on a swing. She tells him to give her a push. "I'm really surprised to find you here," he says. She had to see the place (she assumed) he bought for them. He paces and admits that he didn't get the place for her: He got it for Ava and Max. They begin to ramble and she tells him the place is perfect for a kid. As she walks away, he calls after her, telling her not to leave. He tells her she was right to turn down being his mistress but he loves her and wants her. It doesn't matter that Max isn't his biologically, he is still his son and the only thing that means more to him than she does. Taking her face in his hands, he begs her to work this out. She says yes and they begin kissing... until his phone rings. It's Olivia searching for Ava. When he hears she hasn't been answering her phone, he worries and offers to come back. He promises Lizzie he will call her in one hour. He kisses her, apologizing. She cries. He leaves.

Mel runs into Cassie at Company. They catch up on their kids and how busy Mel has been at work. She doesn't have time to date and there aren't any interesting men around. Cassie tells her that she and Josh are in therapy. The topic quickly turns to the Reva movie. "I would rather poke my eyes out than watch that story," Mel says. "Thank you!" Cassie laughs. She then tries to set Mel up with a guy from Josh's church. Mel isn't interested; she's happy being single.

Hawk follows Jeffrey to his room. Jeffrey doesn't want to talk to him. Hawk says that he doesn't hold a grudge against him for kicking him out. He pushes his way in and tells Jeffrey that a movie and real life aren't that different. Jeffrey says the Reva movie is all fiction. "Doesn't it get under your skin?" Hawk prods. "I'm bullet proof. Remember?" Jeffrey smiles.

Outside of Cross Creek, Josh tells Reva that the movie is ruining his life. She's struggling with the same feeling and emotions that the movie has drudged up. "It's too much," he says, pulling her into a kiss. She pushes him away. Their eyes fill with tears. "I have to go," he announces. "You kissed me! Don't do that again! You're out of it!" she shouts.
Josh returns home and puts his arms around Cassie. She hugs him close and tells him how wonderful he is. She missed him, not for any rational reason; sometimes you just need someone. He knows how she feels. Later, he suggests they go for a drive. She says they should enjoy their time alone together.

Reva paces around Cross Creek with her old hat. Jeffrey calls and asks her if she wants to share some alone time. She seems disoriented but agrees to meet him. She rushes over to him and he's excited to see her. He suggests they go to the desert. "Josh kissed me... and I kissed him back," she blurts out. He asks her what the kiss meant. She's elusive. He gets angry. She insists that she doesn't want to get back with Josh. Jeffrey is unconvinced and tells her that she needs to figure out what she wants. "I love you," she says. "I love steak," he replies. She tries to be funny but it makes things worse. He tells her to move her things out. If what she did with Josh means nothing, maybe they can pick it up later. She packs her things and promises to be back. "I believe it, but you need to do this," he says. She walks out.

Ava and Remy are playing poker. She becomes exhausted. He offers to get her a drink but she quickly falls asleep. He puts a blanket on her and watches her sleep. When he stands, she wakes up, hungry. He offers to get her some food and she's impressed that he remembers her favorite kind of pizza.

Bill returns to the mansion and he and Olivia split up to search for Ava. He goes to Remy's. She answers the door and Bill begins to rant until Remy walks in. She tells Bill not to blame him; she just wanted to do something normal. Bill sends Ava out and then lays into Remy, demanding that he stay away from Ava. Remy mocks him but it only makes Bill furious. He threatens him and Remy taunts him back. Outside, Ava bangs on the door. She holds Bill's cell phone which starts ringing: It's Lizzie.

Bill takes Ava home and orders her stay away from Remy. She accuses him of having things both ways and pointedly asks him where he was while she was with him. He refuses to talk about it or about why Lizzie is still calling him. She tells him their deal isn't working and they need to make it work for both of them. He talks over her and ignores her. She reminds him that he wants something in this relationship too. She points to the baby and announces that she is going to bed.

Mel bumps into Lizzie outside of the station. Lizzie wishes that she had a job so she wouldn't have men problems. She wishes that she never did crazy things either, sort of like Mel. Mel says she has done some crazy things. She advises Lizzie to stand back and let Bill and Ava try to work as a couple. Lizzie doesn't think she can do that.

Josh spots Lizzie outside of Company. He sits down and asks her when she is going to get back to work with Billy. Things are too weird with Bill, she says. She asks him to help her talk to him. "I think he's doing okay," he says, but he will try to talk to him. They talk over her other problems. "When did life start to get normal for you again?" he asks. "I'll have to let you know when that happens," she says. He goes inside and sits down with Cassie. Afterwards, he tells her that he knows they have a lot of work to do, but he thinks they should try to have a baby. She's shocked but smiles and throws her arms around him.

Mel and Remy meet for dinner. They talk about Ava. "I used to think she was the one thing keeping you honest," she says. "Then I am in trouble," he laughs. She tries to give him advice when she spots Lizzie and invites her to join them. Remy thinks this is a bad idea. Lizzie sits down anyway.

At the mansion, Olivia finds her daughter reading a magazine. Ava insists that everything is fine. Bill walks in and announces that he will order them pizza in a bid to be normal. They argue about it momentarily and then Bill walks off. The two women bite their lips.
