Ava tries to enjoy her baby shower, Bill tries to be the big shot at the shower, Lizzie is an unwelcome guest at the shower, the rest of the Springfield guests try to not feel uncomfortable at the shower.
As Bill and Ava discuss their shower, Ava admits she is nervous because it has turned into such a huge event. Bill thinks it is not a big deal and promises he will be back in time for cake.
At Towers, Olivia and Dinah are going over the seating arrangements and the important society attendees. Natalia approaches them and they discover she is tending bar.
Back at the mansion, Olivia asks Ava if she is okay and hopes she will get what she wants. Ava thinks having a good husband is more important than fine china. Olivia thinks Ava is beautiful and leaves, as Ava pulls out her cell phone and calls Remy at the hospital to wish him luck on his first day. He wonders if she is okay. She assures him she is fine, as Olivia listens outside, looking concerned.
At the courthouse, Bill and Lizzie greet one another coldly. The hearing does not take long, and Lizzie's case is dismissed. She assures him nothing is settled. Bill tells her his way was the only way. Lizzie sarcastically apologizes for messing up his plan for awhile. Bill boasts he is very happy and is back on track. Lizzie stomps off.
Marina and Mallet discuss what movie they should go see. She receives a call from Frank, who tells her that Harley broke up with Cyrus and orders her to stay away from him. Mallet leans in and gives her a kiss and they decide to go to Towers for a drink before seeing a zombie movie.
Back at the shower at Towers, Olivia quizzes Dinah on the guest list. She assures Olivia she will be fine. Vanessa arrives and hugs Ava. Olivia introduces Emma to Vanessa. Dinah spots Reva, who wonders why the shower is so stuffy and Dinah tells her she can loosen them all up. Marina arrives and Dinah asks her to stay, even though it is a private party. Marina calls Mallet, who tells them they should meet at the movies. Dinah asks Marina if she was calling Mallet, and says it is fine for him to stay as well and they can frisk her if needed.
Ava tells Vanessa she hopes the baby will bring everyone closer together. Reva approaches Ava and thinks the shower does not look like the party she would want. Ava says she has never been the guest of honor. Reva advises her that getting inside is not always what it seems to be.
Bill waltzes in and asks if his little boy is having a good time. Ava thinks he likes attention, just like his dad. Dinah sees Bill has arrived, and makes a toast to Bill and Ava being a happy couple and welcomes Ava to their family.
Olivia congratulates Bill for getting Remy out of the house. Bill apologizes for Dinah being so overwhelmed, and thinks she is working through it all. Olivia suggests relocating her. They embrace, as Natalia watches. Natalia scolds her for trying to come between Bill and Dinah. Natalia leaves to take a break.
Outside of Towers, Remy approaches Dinah and they embrace. Dinah exclaims that she misses him. Remy assures her that he will be fine and is there for her. She continues to look for something thrown out near the dumpster, when Mallet approaches. They make small talk about the shower. She informs him that Marina is there drinking up the free booze and offers to escort him up.
Lizzie makes a grand entrance into Towers to see the baby shower going on and is stunned. Reva calls out for her to come over and sit by her. Bill goes over to try and talk to her. He asks if she followed him. Lizzie claims she had no idea the shower was going on.
Vanessa tells Olivia and Reva she does not think Bill and Ava are ready to be happy together. Olivia answers Natalia's cell phone, and discovers it is Rafe. He asks her to find Natalia.
Reva asks Vanessa how she feels about everything. Vanessa says really likes Ava and wants to be a grandmother, but she thinks it is all fast and intense. Vanessa feels responsible because Bill had a chip on his shoulder and wants the perfect family that he never had. Reva disagrees, but Vanessa still feels guilty.
Remy enters Towers and tells Ava he was in the area. She asks about his first day and he feels it went well. Ava explains how interesting the shower has been and Remy thinks he needs a drink. Ava is happy he showed up because she was hoping to see him. They are interrupted to see Bill trying to drag Lizzie away. Bill tries to persuade Lizzie to leave, as Remy tries to defend Lizzie. She finally decides to leave as Remy follows her. Ava looks mortified and Bill apologizes. Ava says she pictured something different for their baby shower.
Dinah and Mallet enter Towers and Marina suggests he should have a drink, as the shower is scarier than any zombie movie.
Olivia finds Natalia on the stairs, who takes the phone to hear Rafe's voice. She tells him she was praying for a call. She explains that Jeffery wants to help him and get the charges reduced. Rafe says they do not have the money, but Natalia informs him she is working extra jobs because he is her life. Rafe thinks she should live her life and is going to stay where he is for awhile. Rafe assures he is safe, as Harley is taking care of him. Natalia cries not to go, as he hangs up. Olivia leaves and offers Natalia some alone time.
Marina and Mallet leave Towers to head to the movies. Mallet thinks Marina knew about the shower before suggesting Towers. Marina claims she didn't, and Mallet goes on to proclaim he does not want Dinah to have any setbacks. Marina wants to stay out of Dinah's way, and they head arm in arm to the movies.
Vanessa tells Dinah that Bill seems happy and Dinah thinks everything is coming together for him. Dinah then angrily turns on Vanessa and exclaims that no one trusts her except for Bill. As she runs off, she tries not to cry.
Remy chases after Lizzie. He shows her a box of shower favors he swiped and suggests they try to throw them into the river and see who can throw them the farthest. She begins to toss them and laughs that she feels better.
Back at the mansion, Bill offers to massage Ava's feet. Ava thinks the shower was not about them. Bill promises her that it will all work out and that they are a family. Ava says she still wants to marry him and Bill tells her she has good taste. He changes the subject to how he might run for office. Ava thinks it is a good idea and she will support him with anything.
