Bill throws Remy out of the house, Bill and Doris discuss his future, Ashlee and Coop call it quits.

Remy and Bill are out racing one another. Bill is happy to be out of the office and keep his life balanced. Remy remarks he likes living in the mansion. Bill thinks as a single guy, his style might be cramped and offers to help him move out. Remy insists he is happy, but Bill goes on to order him to give Ava space because she is on bed rest. They then take off running again.

At the station, Dinah invites Dolores to Ava's baby shower. Doris remarks that Ava once tried to take Coop away from Ashlee, but Dinah informs her that the Governor's wife will be there. Doris decides to think about it. Dinah boasts about Bill being the future of the town, as Doris asks where Ava is registered.

At the Beacon, Ashlee sees Blake in Coop's bed and apologizes that she will leave, but Coop protests it is not what it looks like. Ashlee does not want an explanation and leaves. Blake apologizes to an upset Coop, who demands that she leave.

Coop chases after Ashlee and he explains how Blake professed a crush on him, and how when he went to get ice, he returned to find her in his bed. Ashlee believes him, but Coop wonders why she left instead of confronting Blake. Ashlee explains she was not angry at Blake for seducing him, but instead jealous of how beautiful and confident Blake feels in her own skin because she will never feel that way. Coop says she can't keep running, but she leaves.

Bill arrives to see Ava and Olivia working on the baby shower details. As Bill talks about his busy day and leaves, Ava remarks he is king of the world, but Olivia thinks his boat will sink. Olivia goes on to tell her she wants what is best for her, but sometimes sacrifices have to be made. Olivia thinks Remy is in love with her and notices how happy he makes her, too. Ava thinks she is looking for trouble, but Olivia thinks trouble is right there.

At the police station, Bill sees Doris sitting on the curb. Dolores think he could be something bigger than he is now since he has Ava and a baby, which makes the perfect Christmas card. Bill is unsure but Doris thinks losing undesirable elements, such as Remy, would help him get into politics. Doris tells him about Remy getting arrested over beating up Grady and about Ava being with him. Bill thinks if it was important, Ava would have told him, but he is obviously surprised and upset.

Doris and Ashlee meet in the park for tea. Ashlee explains that she and Coop have been drifting apart. Ashlee can't help but think about how she was so excited about being with a guy like Coop, that she had to prove that she deserved it. Doris thinks this is her fault because she didn't tell Ashlee how great she is often enough. Ashlee wonders if she loves Coop or the idea of him. Doris says she saw commitment in Coop's eyes at the surgery, and believes he is in it for the long haul. Ashlee feels better and leaves to go talk to Coop.

Bill finds Remy still out running and asks what happened to his hand. Remy says hockey, but is forced to admit what happened between him and Grady. Bill is livid that Ava was put in that situation and wants him out of the house.

At the office, Blake arrives to see Dinah. Blake asks if she can take Clarissa for a few days because she needs to get away. Dinah asks Blake if she has been drinking, but Blake says she just screwed up and does not want Clarissa to see her like this. Dinah thinks Clarissa is more grown up than they are and can handle it. Blake changes the subject, and knows Ross would be proud of Dinah and if she ever needs a hand, to count her in. Dinah feels good to be happy without a man. After chatting, Blake feels better and decides she will pick up Clarissa and leaves.

At the mansion, Bill yells to Ava that Remy is kicked out of the house. He does not want Ava in danger, but she protests Remy is a friend. Bill explains Remy has been his friend longer, but he is also dangerous and reckless.

At the Beacon, Ashlee arrives to see Coop in his room and wants to talk. Coop tells Ashlee he needs her, but is nervous because he does not feel like she wants to be with him. He wants to make her feel beautiful, but all she wants to do is run and hide when they are together. Ashlee didn't realize the surgery would change them. Coop says he can't keep watching her hurt herself. Ashlee is angry he won't let her heal her own way. Coop asks if she is breaking up with him and she sadly tells him yes. She gathers up all of her stuff and Coop thinks maybe they are right for one another, but not right now. Ashlee tearfully tells him maybe one day and hands him his key and leaves.

Blake goes to pick up Clarissa from her field trip. Blake tells her she is such a sweet girl and has always taken care of her, but she is the mom and is supposed to take care of her. They agree to stop for ice cream on the way home.

Ava goes to see Remy at his new apartment. She admits she is tired of wedding planning and he offers her some water. Remy does not think Bill will be happy about this, but Ava laughs that Bill does not need to know. She apologizes for what happened with Bill. Remy says the mansion was never his style. He gives her a key to his apartment in case things ever get to her. She thanks him and leaves.

Bill is looking out on an open field and Dinah arrives and yells at him for throwing Remy out of the house. Bill says they cannot have people in their lives who will keep them from getting what they want, like Mallet. Dinah mentions she saw Blake, and how much Blake misses Ross. Bill thinks that you can't get carried away with the "love thing." Dinah says he had the "love thing" with Lizzie and he gave it up. Bill protests that Lizzie gave up and he got smart and moved on. He goes on to admit he is still in love with Lizzie but she does not get what he is trying to do, whereas Ava gets what he is trying to accomplish. Bill asks Dinah to stick with him and believe in the two of them. She remarks he gave an excellent speech and asks if he can pull it off in front of a crowd. They hug and as they look at Springfield, Bill tells Dinah it is their town.

Olivia finds Natalia and hands her the phone. Rafe is waiting on the phone and as Natalia cries how much she misses him, he tells her he is staying where he is for awhile.
