Maybe They did you a Favor?

Monday, May 12 2008
Lizzie gets her daughter's address, Jeffrey is getting tired, Alan settles into his new plan.

Jeffrey finds Reva trying her hand at the lotto. He mocks her. She says she just was trying to get the movie people a happy ending. "What's the matter? Don't you already have one?" he grins. She says that if they end up together, the movie will be boring because it will be too good to be true. They start to kiss when Hawk interrupts. As her father goes into the kitchen for breakfast, Reva promises Jeffery that he will be gone soon and things can get back to normal. After Jeffrey leaves, she goes through her mail and sighs.

At his office, Jeffrey settles an agreement that will spare him working a grueling trial. Doris comes in and mocks him as he dances around the office. She tells him that he will be getting some more spare time soon. She asks him to put down the letter opener before she informs him that she's assigned someone else to look after the investigation into Alan's finances. He's surprisingly happy at the news and smiles as he pulls on his jacket. Before he can leave, she asks him if they are still making a movie about Reva and suggests that they look for someone more impressive. He assumes she's talking about herself and tells her that they can only remake Godzilla so many times. Jeffrey runs into Ava in the hall and asks her how she is doing. She tells him that Bill is coming along slowly.

Bill runs into Beth in the park. "Peyton knows not to talk to strange men," she tells him when he makes a face at the baby. He knows she's angry at he and Dinah for what they've done. She thinks he's "an immature, reckless jerk"; he hurt Lizzie and almost killed her dog. After she turns away from him, he goes back to work. Ava meets him there and tells him that she wants her job back. He grants it and they walk off to a meeting. During lunch, he asks about Olivia and suggests that Ava get voting rights with her shares. She wants to talk about the baby. At that, he leaves to take a call. As she walks away, Lizzie spots Bill and he freezes. He calls and leaves a rambling message for her before getting back to work.

Reva arrives at Company and finds Jolene talking to Buzz about their marriage. He jokes that Reva was very hot in her Amish clothes. Jolene thinks he would be a great actor. "Some people say I never stop," he jokes. As he leaves the women alone, Jolene tells Reva that she's been pouring through the photos and the diary she gave her. "Diary?" Reva asks, shocked. It was in the box, Jolene explains. She wants more though and starts to probe Reva for details. Reva admits that she always wanted to be with the Lewis boys and begins talking about how devastatingly handsome Josh was when he was young. They go back to Cross Creek and Reva starts showing her things and talking about her prom. Before she can tell the story of how she hooked up with Billy, Jeffrey arrives. She's not happy to see him home from work so early: She just made plans about what to do all day. She tells Jeffrey to tell Jolene all about their history while she runs off to take care of things. Jolene asks him about Richard but he's awkward. Ava runs in to talk to her father and Jolene tells Jeffrey that he must be uncomfortable with all the people running around and crowding him. She knows it would drive her crazy. When she leaves, Jeffrey tells Ava how happy he is to see her. "Wait till you see my very first sonogram," she smiles.

At Company, a baffled Lizzie is berating her grandfather for staying at the boarding house instead of in the condo she bought him. He shrugs it off and seems strangely content. "Maybe they did you a favor, Dinah and Bill... you seem to kind of like this place," she suggests. Alan is angry that she's mentioned Bill. She is still angry with Bill; he just about killed her dog. They begin to argue but she is emphatic that things are over with Bill. Later, they sit at the bar and he eats muffins while she gags at the sight of Bill in a magazine.

Alan goes up to his room to make some calls. Beth arrives with his old reserved parking sign. He asks her if she got everything he sent her for Mother's Day. She thanks him and they laugh together. Later, Alan is giving Buzz advice about things to add to the menu. They start to argue about poker. As the afternoon wears on, Alan runs into Bill and invites him to come and play poker with him. Bill gives him a handout and tells him to buy a Buzz Burger. Alan returns to his room and plays solitaire.

Lizzie and Reva meet in the park and start catching up. Reva hands her a Mother's Day card from Sarah. Lizzie is surprised to see that it has an address on it. Lizzie smiles and starts to walk off. Bill jumps out and offers to carry her shopping bags. When he gets to her car, he sees that she has her luggage packed and guesses she is going to see Sarah. She avoids his questions and tells him that she has plans before getting in her car and shutting the door. She drives over see her mother and they eat ice cream together and chit chat before Beth asks her where she's going. Beth soon guesses what's going on and they share a few awkward moments. Lizzie admits that she doesn't know where any of this is going or when she'll be back. Later, Beth looks at the note that Alan left for her and smiles. Meanwhile, Lizzie gets in her car and drives. She stops at Spaulding and almost goes in to see Bill but stops and gets back in her car before driving off.

At the hospital, Reva starts ranting at her father for lying about his age in his medical charts. He wonders if he should dye his hair. Reva stops his rambling and tells him that she would have liked all of this movie business ten years ago but now she is with Jeffrey and happy; she doesn't need to relive the past anymore. She leaves and sits in her car. As she drifts off, Bill sneaks up on her and gives her some flowers. He asks her how she is. She guesses he wants something and climbs out of the car. "Lizzie got Jonathan's address from you?" he asks. She says that Lizzie makes her own decisions and it's her who he should be talking to. After he leaves, Jeffrey tracks her down. He wonders when it will just be the two of them again. She doesn't like where this conversation is going. He's tired of something always getting in the way of the two of them. He gets a call from Ava: Olivia's not doing well. As she panics, he talks her down. He apologizes to Reva but she doesn't think he needs to be sorry for trying to defend their relationship. She laughs and gives him a hug.

I have't posted in awhile..nothing to say. I love GL, but I agree that it is losing it's oomph. Why in the world would we believe that someone would want to make a movie of Reva's life?? For goodness sake, there are a million women with a life just like hers. She has done nothing that she can be called famous enough to make a movie about. I love Reva, and she is my favorite soap actress, but come on..this is beyond ridiculous! GL needs some new, better SLs. I agree with another poster..why are all these homes that the people have so shabby? The homes look as if they are all dirt poor, and we know that as the show goes..these folks have money. What has happened to my favorite show?
