Harley can't face the fundraiser, Marina makes a pass at Mallet and Cyrus, Ashlee gets drunk, Frank tries to get Natalia out of her shell.

Harley walks and talks to herself about her plans for a fundraising party for the kid's home. She arrives at Company to get things ready. She finds that her family and friends are already there and preparing things. As the preparations are finished, everyone starts filing out so they can go back to work for a few hours. Harley continues to worry but Buzz assures her that things will be alright. Cyrus walks in. "We're closed," Daisy tells him. Harley follows him outside and he helps her sort some decorations out, offering to stay away if she wants him to. She doesn't. He helps her set up a large picture of Gus. "I guess it always feels like he's in the room with us," she says. He knows what she means.

Frank runs into Natalia down the street. He encourages her to come to the party, suggesting that they need a "pretty bartender". He hurries off to court to do prep work. Marina is already there, as is Coop. Marina complains about how Harley is a terrible partner, always having panic attacks and leaving her to do all the work. She's not in the mood to do prep with her father, nor is she in the mood to watch her aunt mourn for Gus while clinging to Cyrus. Frank assures her that Harley and Cyrus are over and he'll likely be running back to her very soon. Marina doesn't want him, she claims, and walks out. She goes shopping and buys herself a cute new outfit. Later, Mallet arrives, apparently surprised by how great she looks in the outfit, and escorts her over to Company.

At home, Harley dresses and spills something on her outfit. Continuing to get herself ready, she fumbles through her things but can't take it anymore and slouches onto the bed. Meanwhile, Cyrus arrives at the party and pays the cover charge to Daisy. She asks him if he's going back Down Under. He'll be sticking around, he says. Later, after Harley hasn't shown up, Daisy goes home to get her. She finds her mother laying on the couch, refusing to go to the fundraiser that she's organized. Daisy tells her that she has to go. Harley can't do it and insists that no one will miss her. She sends her daughter away and starts to cry.

In her room, Ashlee is having trouble picking out a dress to wear. Coop tells her they all look good. She's not feeling well and seems to have trouble breathing. She feels tired and wants to skip the fundraiser. He offers to stay with her but she insists that he go and leave her there to sleep. As soon as he's gone, she starts throwing her dresses on the floor.

Natalia is laying down in her room when Frank and Buzz come to the door to ask her to the party. She's not comfortable going, but they insists that she'll have things to do and it will all be fine. Buzz leaves them alone and Frank starts to fix her closet door. She still hasn't unpacked. He tells her it will take time, but she should be around people now. They start to chat and she wonders why he doesn't just stay at the boarding house with everyone else.

Natalia gets dressed and goes downstairs to the party. It's remarkably quiet. She looks over at the photo of Gus and feels uncomfortable. Marina wanders outside and sees Cyrus sitting alone. Franks spots the former couple through the window and has to be stopped from running out after his daughter. Marina sits by Cyrus, telling him that she still cares about him and saying that she saw this coming; he's not the sort of man to get involved with a woman who has a mortgage and kids. He stops her and tells her that he and Harley haven't broken up. She begins to mumble and spills her beer all over her dress. Mallet comes out and pushes Cyrus back, telling him to leave Marina alone. "I didn't do anything," the Australian smiles. Mallet takes Marina up to Natalia's room to change her clothes. Her zipper is stuck so she asks for his help. They compare who is worse: Dinah or Cyrus? They both know how awful they are. She pushes him and then leaps into his arms for a kiss.

Natalia sits at the bar and talks to Blake. She admits that it has been difficult listening to everyone trying to be so helpful since Gus died. Blake knows how she feels; she had the same problem when her husband died. She encourages her to start dating again, even on the computer like she does. Natalia thinks it's a little early for that. Coop and Frank walk over and Blake talks business with him. Frank worries about what kind of advice Blake might be giving Natalia.

Cyrus tracks Harley down to confront her for ditching him in a room full of cops. He tells her that the event was a success and she made lots of money for charity. He asks her to get in the car with him. They drive off and she starts to beat herself up for not being able to let the past go and forcing him to live in Gus' shadow. He reminds her that he has a past as well. "What if it never gets better?" she wonders. He assures her it will.

Ashlee hooks up with Daisy and starts to rant about how sick she is of listening to people talk about her diet and worry about her health. As she rambles, Daisy asks her if she's sorry she did the surgery. Ashlee feels trapped: Nothing is happening fast enough and she doesn't want to live her life like this forever. That sounds like a movie of the week on the women's network, Daisy jokes, handing her a fake ID. They go over to Towers and Ashlee orders a drink as they chat. Ashlee starts complaining that the bartender must think she's "gross". Since the operation, she's just thought about how hard her life in high school was and how she had to pay Jonathan to take her out. Daisy tries to cheer her up, but Ashlee just continues to gulp down the cocktails. Later, Coop finds Ashlee sitting in the park drunk and scribbling on a picnic table. She's been writing letters to everyone who has hurt her in her life. He looks through all of the names and asks her if there are any letters for him. She explains that doing this is making her feel better and then starts ripping all of the pages up. Now she has him and things are perfect, she insists.

Daisy stumbles into Company drunk. She asks Buzz not to tell all the cops who are still milling around. He tells her to eat something and they'll talk later. Frank walks in looking for his daughter and Natalia explains that Marina just went upstairs to change after spilling something on her dress. When she goes looking for her, she finds her and Mallet making out on the couch. Marina begs her not to tell Frank. Natalia backs out and finds Frank in the hall. She tells him that Marina's not there. She takes him outside. "Do you think I'll ever stop being an overprotective dad?" he asks. She says that she's learning to actually talk with her child rather than just to him. She thanks him for everything he's done today and they smile. Meanwhile, Mallet offers Marina a ride home but she wants to stay behind. "To be continued?" he asks. "To be continued," she says.
