Cassie and Cyrus get together, Olivia threatens to buy Natalia's house away, Harley discovers Gus' dream, Ashlee has her surgery.

Cassie gets dressed and goes downstairs, quickly saying goodbye to her husband before slipping off. Driving away, she pulls over and changes into less conservative clothes before going over to Towers for a drink. She flirts with a man at the bar while he buys her drinks and she tells him about her time as a stripper. When he tries to get her to come up to his suite, she excuses herself to freshen up. Later, she slips her ring back on before changing back into her other clothes.

Natalia arrives at the church where she offers Josh some of Gus' clothes for charity. He asks how Rafe is doing. Later, Cassie arrives and they look through the box of Gus' clothes. She wonders if Harley knows about these things. Josh tells her that she looks "very together" today. She smiles. Later, they return home and she discovers a series of letters from Will. They are dated from more than a week ago. Josh explains that he's been keeping them from her and informs her that Will almost killed another kid and is now is solitary confinement. He takes her hand and tells her that he loves her. She's distant and moves off.

At home, Harley slips out of bed with Cyrus and goes downstairs to put on a DVD of her wedding to Gus. Cyrus wakes up and peers down the stairs to watch her, eventually shrinking away. She later goes upstairs where she finds him dressing and says that she made him breakfast. They have a strained conversation before he offers to show her what he's good at. They begin to fall into bed when the doorbell rings. She hurries off and finds Mel at the door. She informs Harley that she is the executor of Gus' will. Cyrus joins them and Mel informs them that Gus owned a building where he wanted to start a boys and girls club for orphaned children. He never finished setting it up, of course, but he named Harley as its director. After Mel leaves, Harley can't believe she never knew anything about this. She wants to run off and take a look but Cyrus suggests that this isn't the best time to do it; she can barely support her family right now. Gus' funeral wiped them out and they have no money. "This is bigger than that! This is real!" she insists, walking out. Later, she sits at the table crunching numbers. Cyrus thinks she's acting like it's her fault that Gus is gone. She wishes that she'd reached out more and done something differently. "You think that you're so powerful you could have saved him? You're not the only one who lost him! He had a wife and a son!" he reminds her, telling her that he saw her watching the wedding video. He knows that he's nothing like Gus. "You're right. You're nothing like him," she says. "Maybe I should go?" he wonders. "Maybe you should," she says, barely looking at him. He walks out.

Olivia gets out of her hospital bed and, picking up a stethoscope, starts listening to her heart beat. Ava arrives to check on her mother. They realize that they've forgotten to pick up Emma. They call the school to check and discover that Rafe picked her up and brought her home. They track him down in the park and ask him why he did this. He didn't think they would have the time. She tells him to go find his mother. Later, Olivia returns to her room at The Beacon where she stares at a photo of Gus before collapsing in the hallway, sick. Natalia finds her there and helps her up and back into her room. Olivia tries to send her away, but Natalia bothers her about not taking her pills. Mel arrives and suggests that Olivia should talk to Rick about his experiences with heart surgery. Olivia's not interested. Mel starts to explain that she is the executor of Gus' will and tells Natalia that the house Gus bought is in her name. Natalia thinks she should sell it because she can't afford the mortgage payments. Olivia offers to pay for that as a thank you to Gus. "You would do that? For me and Rafe?" Natalia asks, moved. Olivia is silent. Mel becomes uncomfortable and walks out. Olivia coldly tells Natalia that she's buying the house for herself. The house was the last thing Gus bought so she wants it for herself. "I wish I'd left you on the floor," Natalia says, walking out.

Ashlee and Coop wake up in bed together. She goes into the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror before he joins her. They get dressed and she tells him how wonderful last night was. Now, she's ready to have the operation. Coop confesses that he blames himself for this and imagines that he hasn't shown her that he loves her enough. She tells him to drive her to the hospital. He takes her to Cedars and helps her fill out some forms. She starts to cry as she tells him that she didn't tell her mother about the surgery; Doris would have seen it as a cop- out, she explains. The doctor walks in and Coop asks him questions but Ashlee insists that she knows the answers and tells Coop that she's ready. "You can't look at this as some sort of scary thing. It's good and adventurous," she insists. Climbing into a wheelchair, she starts to cry and he kisses her, promising to be there when she wakes up. The doctor wheels her off to surgery as Doris runs in, calling after her daughter.

Doris and Coop sit at Cedars. She reminds him of how hard it is for her to watch her daughter go through with something like this. She has spent most of her life trying to protect her daughter from being hurt. Coop's phone rings and he walks away. Buzz arrives and Doris flies into his arms. She tells him how worried she is as she paces around the hospital. She worries that she may have pushed her daughter into this somehow. Buzz reminds her that nobody pushed her into this; this was all her own decision. She wonders if it was Coop's fault. Buzz reminds her that he tried to talk her out of it too. Doris wants to help from now on. Buzz tells her that she just has to tell her daughter how much she cares. Meanwhile, Blake talks to Coop on the phone, asking him to come over and meet the publisher she brought to town. She warns him that if he doesn't come over now, he's going to blow it. He runs off, meeting Blake at Company to deal with business. Back at Cedars, after the operation, Coop and Doris sit at Ashlee's side waiting for her to wake up. When she comes to, she apologizes for not telling her mother but Doris says it's okay. She canceled all her press conferences to be there and leaves them alone, promising that she will be around if they need her. Ashlee continues to cry to Coop.

On a road, Cyrus drives up on Cassie as she changes in her car. "Superman used a phone box y'know?" he jokes. She makes him look away while she finishes dressing and asks him to get a drink. They go to Towers and drink while he tells her about Australia and their wonderful beer. She suggests they go for a drive and he takes a bottle for the road. They drive around the countryside before getting out and finishing the bottle. They start to kiss. Meanwhile, Blake arrives on Josh' doorstep with Cassie's wallet. She hands it to him and tells him that Cassie left it at Towers this morning. "Oh?" he asks quizzically.
