Gus says goodbye, Alan has lost everything, Harley grieves, Olivia gets a heart.

Harley and Natalia sit at Gus' bedside. "What I really want is a cigarette and a hamburger and a beer and a baseball game," he thinks to himself. Meanwhile, Zach and Jude play baseball in the park while Rafe tries to fix his mother's car. Gus wishes that he'd known his son sooner, and longer, but he'll always love him. Thinking of the chaos at the police station, he realizes how he will miss that as well; he'll even miss Mallet. He will miss Olivia too and, if he'd gotten to know her sooner, maybe they could have been more than friends. He thinks of the house he never finished and hopes that, maybe, Cyrus can finish it...or he'll have to come back to haunt him. And he'll miss Buzz and his daughter and his burgers and his corny jokes... As he slips away, Rick turns to Natalia to tell her how sorry he is. Crying, she kisses Gus goodbye and then calls Harley over. She slowly approaches and kisses him, repeating his name. Natalia goes to meet her son and break the news to him. She doesn't have to say anything. They embrace.

Alan arrives at Cedars as soon as he's heard of the accident. He finds Harley and demands to see his son. "He's dead," she says flatly. Alan offers to get him the best doctors in the world, but Harley says all the money in the world can't save Gus now. "Now you remember how much you loved him? Well...you're late. We're both late..." she says, turning and walking out. Calls of the news quickly filter around the town, first to Buzz and then to Mallet. The station activity stops and the cops remove their hats in silence.

Jeffrey and Ava question Olivia's doctor. He doesn't think she has good odds and they've run out of her blood type; it was all used on a motorcycle accident victim. Ava leaves to check on Gus and the doctor tells Jeffrey that they need an act of God. Jeffrey sits by Olivia's side and she wishes she could see her park again. She asks how Gus is. "He's fine," Jeffrey lies. "How's the honeymoon so far?" she asks. She never knew he could make such an amazing husband, she murmurs. Meanwhile, Ava has found Gus' grieving family and cries as she looks in at his body. In tears, she returns and the look on her face tells Jeffrey what's happened.

Natalia asks Rick why Gus is still hooked up to machines. He explains that she signed a release form to let Gus be an organ donor. He gives her time to think about it. She wanders the corridor, looking in on Jeffrey and Olivia. He's asking her if she has her funeral music picked out. "Tina Turner baby," Olivia smiles. She tells him not to let Emma go to her funeral and asks him to check on Gus. He leaves for awhile and returns to tell her that Gus is waiting for her. Natalia returns to Gus' bedside to think. Mallet walks in and asks her to call him if she needs anything.

In the corridor, Rafe brings Alan some water. As he starts to walk away, Alan tearfully pulls him into his arms. "You're all I have left," Alan cries. Rafe leaves to return to his mom and Alan slouches over. Later, Daisy arrives to see Rafe. He tells her that he was supposed to be with his father and, if he had been, maybe he could have prevented this. She tells him not to blame himself. He quietly tells her he'll call her and walks away.

Harley goes home, collecting her sons from the babysitter. They ask her why she's crying. She says it's just paint fumes and instructs them to help her finish painting the house. They ask her where Gus is. Meanwhile, Cyrus arrives at Company. Seeing that they are closed, he realizes what must have happened. He walks in and tells Frank that he knows that he hates him, but they all love Harley and she needs them now. They all go to Harley's together. After hugging her, Frank sits with the boys, giving them Gus' old badge and trying to cheer them up by telling them a story about Gus. Cyrus watches sadly. Buzz follows Harley inside. She doesn't think Jude will understand until the funeral, but this is the second father that Zach has lost. She doesn't know how she'll do this. He tells her that she'll just have to live. "It's the hardest thing in the world," he says, and everyday will hurt. "How can this be happening?" she asks. They go outside and see everyone painting. Frank suggests that they should do more to honor Gus, like a book about him which they can give to Rafe. "He didn't get to know Gus as long as we did," Zach says. Later, Cyrus tries to comfort Harley. She still can't believe it's happening.

Natalia returns to her new empty house. She checks her messages and gets the one that Gus left just before he got on the bike. She collapses in tears. When she returns to Cedars, Rick informs her that the results came back and Gus is a match for donation. She walks into Gus' room and paces before saying that she's sure that he cared about Olivia...but she feels like she's given her enough. She lost so much to Olivia already. "I can't," she cries, walking out. Emma and Ava find her in the hall. Emma hands her a flower and Natalia goes back to Gus. "Alright Nicky," she says, laying the flower on his chest. She goes out and tells Rick that they will do it. Rafe arrives and she informs him that they are going to give Olivia Gus' heart. He protests, but she holds him still. Tears roll down their checks as Gus is wheeled away.

Dinah is busy finalizing her destruction of Alan, signing for the purchase of the house. She goes over to the mansion and dances on Alan's desk before calling the station to talk to Mallet. She's told that Gus is dead and hops off the desk. She goes to the station to see Mallet and finds him toasting to Gus with other cops.

Alan returns to his squalid motel room and starts to drink. Beth walks in to tell him how sorry she is. "They wouldn't let me see my son," he says, falling into a chair. She puts her arms around him as he cries. She offers to stay with him awhile, but he becomes angry, sure that she will soon leave him for Peyton and Rick. He doesn't want her pity and shows her the door. When she walks out, he slumps over and continues to drink before collapsing on the floor.

At Cedars, Jeffrey continues telling Olivia that he needs her to stay around. He can't look after Ava and Emma on his own. She loses consciousness as the doctor comes in to say that they have a heart for her. Moments later, Jeffrey and Ava stare at Natalia and Rafe as Gus is wheeled down the hall and set beside Olivia in the operating room.
