Olivia and Jeffrey have a wedding, Alan is bailed out by a surprising source, Gus tries to fix things with everyone.

Alan rushes around his office as he pleads his innocence to the treasury agents. He insists that he didn't cheat Uncle Sam and tells them that they can't take his house. Alexandra runs in, carrying her jewels and other heirlooms. The agents tell her that she can't keep those items either. She begins to lash out at her brother. Once he's dragged down to jail, Alex finds him and repeats her tirade against him. She says that she can't even bail him out because all of their accounts have been frozen. She starts to shout at him for losing their home but Alan insists that he's been framed by Phillip. Mallet locks him up.
Dinah wanders around Alan's office, smoking his cigars until Bill arrives. She can't wait to tell Alan that she "got him". Later, she calls Mallet and reminds him that she's asked him out for dinner, or lunch. Smiling, he agrees to fit her into his schedule.

Lizzie and Bill go up to his room and he offers her some closet space, telling her that he couldn't fight his feelings for her, no matter how much he tried. He's tired of fighting with her and gives her a room key. Later, Lizzie goes to the mansion and finds the police tape everywhere. She calls her mother to ask what her granddad did and starts to bag her belongings. After she walks out and down the street, she runs into Doris who explains the situation and says that Phillip was behind it all.

Doris is at the court house talking on the phone when Jeffrey shows up. He tells her that he needs someone to perform a wedding...today, for him. She's shocked but agrees. He gets dressed and searches around for a ring, pulling one from a lamp and kissing his picture of Reva. "If anyone understands why I'm doing this, it would be you," he says.

Olivia gets dressed in front of the mirror. "I'm not dying today, not until the wedding is over," she tells herself. Gus calls and the machine picks it up. He says he didn't want to hurt her but a make-believe marriage isn't right for them. He'll be with her no matter what, however, he promises. Ava arrives to comfort her mother but Olivia insists that she is still getting married. She wishes she had a chance to marry Gus but...she's got them a good lawyer to protect her and her sister, she explains. She wants to die knowing she had a real family and Jeffrey is giving them all a chance to do that.

Jeffrey and Olivia meet down by the water for their wedding. She cries, but he insists that this wedding will have a happy ending. "You're good O'Neill but you're not that good," she quips. She thanks him and asks him what Reva has to say about this. Olivia imagines Reva will murder him when she finds out; luckily, she'll be dead by then, she jokes. He tells her to knock it off and promises to look after her daughters. She goes to Emma and tells her that she makes her happy and nothing will make them happier than being a real family with Jeffrey. Ava thanks her father and Doris prods them all to hurry up. Olivia tells Jeffrey that she forgives him and he can sleep with Reva as much as he wants. He vows to take care of Reva and keep her smiling. They ask Doris to give them the "till death do you part vow" and then they exchange rings and kiss.

Olivia and Jeffrey go to Company with their wedding party. Buzz congratulates them, in spite of the circumstances. Ava cries and toasts with her father. She tells him that she might be pregnant. "Bill?" he asks. She nods. He tells her that he hopes it works out the way she wants. Meanwhile, Buzz feeds Olivia tuna casserole and asks her why she didn't marry him. He doesn't have any hard feelings though and gives her a kiss before sending her back to her family. She and Jeffrey dance and she tells him to spin her faster before they cut the wedding cake. They toast and Olivia tells Jeffrey that she loves Gus, but she's glad that she married him, "the honorable scoundrel". Maybe this will give them closure and help Ava. He always wanted to do something for her, he says. She starts to feel weak.

Natalia meets Gus outside of a house. He asks her how she likes the neighborhood and the house. She asks him why he's asking. He tells her that he's bought the house for them. Her jaw drops and he shows her inside. She points out that a house can't change everything. He insists that he will change and they can have a lifetime to fix the house up together. "We do have a lifetime to get it right," he says. She can see the possibilities and becomes excited about all of the things they could do with the house...and they can even get a mutt dog, "just like us," she suggests.

When they go outside, Rafe finds them. They explain that Gus has bought them the house but Rafe is still annoyed about the Olivia problem. He walks away and Gus follows him, insisting to his son that he is not trying to buy Natalia off and he has nothing to feel guilty for in his relationship with Olivia. Rafe points out that a house won't make them a family. Gus says that they can fake it until they're good at it. Rafe has other plans; he still wants to move in with Daisy. Gus begs him not to. He was a screw up when he was his age, he explains, and he hoped he would be a better man than he is. They return to Natalia and Gus promises to come back later.

Gus arrives at the jail and Alan begs him not to walk away from him like everyone else. Gus admits that he doesn't like seeing his father like this and reminds him that he always recovers...not like Olivia. He walks away. Later, Alan asks Mallet to get him a doctor before he's transferred to another institution. Lizzie shows up and says that she won't bail him out and refuses to help. After she leaves to unpack her things at Bill's, Bill walks into the station, offering to bail Alan out. As they walk out of the building, Alan asks him why he's done this. "Your freedom for Lizzie's," Bill says. "I'm a broken man," Alan solemnly says before asking for money for a hotel room. Bill knows how painful this must be for him, but only gives him fifty bucks. Alan has to go to a seedy motel. They aren't convinced he can pay and don't believe that the watch he offers as payment is real. Meanwhile, Bill returns to Lizzie, kissing her and telling her that she is home now.

Natalia shows Rafe around their new house and they can't stop giggling excitedly. Meanwhile, Gus wanders around the town, watching children in a schoolyard and chatting with Doris on a bench. He has a plaque put in the park to mark it as the "Olivia Spencer Memorial Park."
