Josh confronts Will, Cyrus and Harley get drunk, Ashlee bows to Ava's demands, Josh gets a call from Edmund.

At Towers, a laughing Cyrus hugs Harley and tries to calm her after her run-in with the snake. Looking into his eyes, she asks him if this is alright, because it doesn't feel that way. Before they can kiss, Cassie interrupts. They sit at the bar and regale Cassie with tales of the slithering snake. She doesn't say much in response. Cyrus spots Frank and excuses himself. Cassie starts probing her friend about her panic attacks. Harley begs Cassie not to tell anyone about them. "At least you won't have to work through it alone," Cassie surmises before reminding Harley that Cyrus is dating her niece. Harley tells her that Dinah said Cyrus and Marina won't make it in the long run. Cassie's shocked that she would blurt that out, as if it's an excuse. Harley tries to cover and says once again that it would be wrong for her to be with Cyrus. Cassie wishes that her friend would be more honest with her and walks away. Harley promptly downs a cocktail.

Across the room, Cyrus and Frank sit down to discuss getting Marina back on the force. Buzz arrives, happy to see that the two men are being civil to one another. As Cyrus rises to leave, Buzz thanks him for helping Marina. He's sure that Cyrus will treat her better than all the other men in her life have. Cyrus tries to reassure him and then wanders over to the bar where Harley is meeting with a lawyer from Spaulding. She tells Cyrus that she is now officially divorced and so is he— the papers came through on the same day. "How about that?" she sighs. He chuckles and pulls out his phone to call Marina, feeling like a kid in a candy store. Stopping himself, he starts to commiserate with Harley. They tell each other again that there is nothing between them. He sits down and starts drinking with her. They get drunk and decide it's time to go home. After accidentally breaking a vase, they sneak down the stairs. They take a cab back to her place where he helps her upstairs and into bed. Once he has her tucked in, he flops down beside her.

At Company, Coop congratulates Ashlee on all her hard work and tells her that he has a dress for her to wear on inauguration night. "If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be celebrating," he says, hugging her and missing the irony. As they start sorting out arrangements, Doris arrives and asks Coop how things are going. They confess that Doris helped pick out Ashlee's new dress. Ashlee is shocked. When Coop leaves for a call, Doris sits down with her daughter and tells her not to act so shocked: Buzz reached out to her and offered her a place and she's happy to help him. Maybe she can even learn something from him... Ashlee's mouth hangs open while Doris admits that losing hasn't been so bad. She thanks her before she runs off. As soon as Doris is gone, Ava appears and sits down with her blond enemy. She flashes the video of Einstein and Ashlee together to remind her of what she's done. Ashlee tries to guilt Ava out of blackmailing her, but Ava is undeterred. She won't do anything to Buzz as long as Ashlee makes sure that Coop takes her and not Ashlee to the inauguration.

Later, Coop is upset after Ashlee has told him that she won't be accompanying him. He's angry and disappointed; he wanted to celebrate with her. She suggests that he take someone else...like Ava perhaps? Coop is baffled at the suggestion but Ashlee tells him that if Doris can change, Ava can too. He agrees to think about it. His phone rings and he walks away as she hurries off. Outside, she runs into Buzz and Frank. She asks Buzz if being mayor is what he really wants. He tells her that he'll do his best to be the best mayor the town has ever seen. She hugs him and runs away. Frank starts hugging his father and telling him how proud he is before Doris arrives and hands Buzz his speech. He can't use it though; he knows that it's the speech she was going to use if she won.

At Cassie's, Josh reads an article about the mall lock down. He asks Will why he was so surprised that he got out and managed to come home. They sit down on the couch and Josh continues to probe the shrugging boy. Will soon tries to run off but Josh grabs him. Will tells him that he was just happy not to have Josh around. "I wanted just mom for Christmas— not you!" he shouts before running away.

As Cassie returns home, Daisy stops her outside to tell her what a great time she had with Will the other day. When Cassie walks into the house, she finds Josh questioning Will. Daisy suddenly takes the blame for everything, claiming that it was her fault that everyone was locked in the mall. Will smiles deviously. Daisy explains that she did it so that Josh and Reva could have some time alone together. Josh finds it hard to believe, but Daisy is insistent on taking the blame. After she walks out, Cassie asks for some time alone with Josh. She confronts him about his suspicions of her son. He's going to have to find a way to make this up to the boy, she demands. Frustrated, Josh hurries away to the church. Meanwhile, outside, Will finds Daisy, who is impressed that he's actually pulled his little scheme off. She agrees not to say anything, but he owes her money for this. They shake on it. When he goes back inside, his mother gives him some hot chocolate and asks him if he'd like to go out and do something fun with Josh. "I don't feel so good," Will answers. She pulls out her thermometer and tells him that if he's okay, they'll go out. When she turns her back, he dips the thermometer into his hot chocolate. A moment later, she checks it and it's high enough that she decides they better stay in.

A hospital orderly checks Edmund over. Once he's satisfied that the patient is still unconscious, he walks out. Edmund's fingers immediately start to twitch. When the orderly returns, Edmund grabs him and utters: "Saint Marks!" before falling back into unconsciousness. Meanwhile, back in Springfield, Josh goes to rehab to visit his brother. Billy doesn't think that Josh is looking too good himself. He starts to explain what's been going on with Will; he just confronted him and it's only made him look like a jerk. "There's definitely something weird with that kid," Josh states, but there is also something "off" with him. He wonders if he is just feeling guilty for having a good time with Reva and then projecting his guilt onto Will. Later, Josh goes over to the church to talk to his council. After the meeting, he gets a surprising call from Edmund. "Will...pushed..." is all that Edmund can say. As Edmund loses consciousness again, Jeffrey appears in his room and appears to disconnect his IV.
