Dinah turns to Cyrus for help, Gus searches for Harley, Alan offers Natalia work, Lizzie tries to find direction in her life.

At the mansion, Dinah asks Cyrus to help her get money. He's surprised that she is hitting him up for a loan so soon after he's become rich. She hands him a number for her medical bills. He's shocked that it's so much. She doesn't want to be a drain on her husband. 'I feel like I'm on a cliff and I'm falling in slow motion,' she says. She asks to be partners with him again; she wants to pull off one last big score. He won't risk his future for her. As she becomes distraught, he holds onto her and calms her down. Alexandra walks in and sees them together. 'I guess this is why you couldn't make dinner,' she says. He tries to explain, but she can see that Dinah was just crying on his shoulder. Cyrus explains that Dinah is having some money problems. Alex is glad she stopped by; this is a good chance for Cyrus to learn about friends asking for money. Dinah lashes out at Alexandra for this gibe, but Cyrus shakes his head and refuses to help. When Dinah storms out, she grabs a vase on the way.
In his suite, Mallet tells Marina that he's going back to work. Dinah's mother is firing her so he needs all the money he can get right now. He's set up the room with flowers and champagne to help ease the blow when he breaks the news to his wife. Later, Dinah arrives home, hiding the vase and asking why there are flowers and champagne everywhere. She wonders what's wrong. He tells her that she was brave to go back to work so soon but... She quickly realizes that he is trying to tell her that she's been fired. She starts to laugh; she thought that she was in more trouble. Pointing him to the bathroom, he looks in and discovers the stolen vase. He's appalled to see that she went to Cyrus for help and that she has started stealing again. She's sick of him doing everything, even finishing her sentences. He blames himself for everything that has happened to her. Taking the vase, he walks out. They return to the mansion together and give Alex the vase back. Mallet asks her to give his wife a break. Dinah tells him to go and wait in the car. Alone, she tells Alex that Mallet feels responsible for her and she doesn't want him to get into trouble. She suggests that Mallet and Marina are every close and she wouldn't want anyone 'splitting them up' by costing him his job. When she puts it like that, Alex can't say no.
Later, Marina meets up with Cyrus in the hallway. He takes her into his suite where she finds food and champagne waiting. She tells him to take all of this stuff away; she can't be bought. He just wants to share with her; she doesn't need to pull the working class girl routine. To her though, it look like Alex's money is changing everything. He offers to end things with Alex. She tells him not to; she wants him in the country even if he is with Alex. His phone starts to ring and she pushes him out.

Lizzie's TV and ice cream binge is interrupted when Remy comes to give her the latest news on Natalia and the family. She starts to cry and hide her head under the pillow. As he sits beside her, she cries on his shoulder, making him uncomfortable. They start to clean up. She feels like she's hit rock bottom. He's not going to stand around and listen to her complain about her life and walks out. Later, she has cleaned herself up, picks up her briefcase and strolls out. She hurries over to Alan's office and tries to impress him with her knowledge of what's going on with the stock markets. She asks him to mentor her. He flatly refuses. He doesn't have time for that, particularly considering her mood swings and sporadic interest in the company. She assumes that he's more interested in Natalia and Rafe; she'll have to go to Aunt Alex, the one who is interested in her. 'You can't do this to me,' she says. 'You did this to yourself,' he answers smugly. Lizzie is defiant: She isn't going to let a waitress or a chauffeur usurp her position: She is the only rightful heir to Spaulding and she will prove it. She goes down to a bar and, after ordering a cosmopolitan, spots a guy who looks exactly like Jonathan. She rushes over to him but then stops herself when she realizes that she's made a mistake. Awkwardly, she starts to drink and the plays pool with the Jonathan look alike. Returning to the barkeep, she offers to buy the bar. She wants to turn it into the trendiest spot in town. They have a quick negotiation.
At Towers, Natalia tells Alan that she appreciates everything he's done for her, but she needs to make her own way. She is going to apply for a job as a waitress. The manager tells her that they are fully staffed. Alan steps in to offer help, but the manager turns him down. She leaves to check somewhere else. Once she's gone, Alan slips the manager a few dollars and thanks him for turning her down. Later, Alan and Natalia sit down to dinner. He tells her that her talents are wasted as a waitress. Now that she has Gus... She cuts him off, reminding him that Gus and Harley are far from over.

Gus returns home to an empty house. After glancing at the picture of he and Harley on the mantle, he walks out. When he arrives at Cedars, he finds Billy standing outside of Dylan's room. Dylan has gone to rehab and Harley has gone with him. Billy doesn't hide the fact that he blames Gus for this. He refuses to tell him exactly where they have gone. Before Gus looks for his wife, he should take a look in mirror, Billy suggests. Gus thinks that Dylan has been all over his wife since he got back to town. He just wants his family back. Billy tells him that they've gone to Chicago. Gus walks out.

At Towers, Gus finds Natalia. They start to talk over what happened. She suggests that there are plenty of people to blame for what's been going on. He feels like he needs to take responsibility and asks her about where Harley and Dylan might be. She doesn't know where she is, but she knows why she left. 'Harley knows that we slept together,' she tells him. They go outside and she nervously explains what happened while he was away. She is sure that if Harley loves him, she will forgive him. He's sorry that he pulled her into this and he won't let anything happen to her, no matter what happens between he and Harley.

When Natalia returns to the mansion, Alan tells her that he is looking for an assistant, someone to pass on his knowledge to. She thinks that he should hire one of his children or grandchildren. He will, when they're old enough, but he sees grit and determination in her and... before he can go any further, Remy bursts in and drags her out. After this, Alan goes to Harley's and offers Gus his help. He thinks that his son should wake up and leave the melodrama with Harley behind. Gus is still determined to find his wife. Alan leaves, reminding him not to throw his last chance with Natalia away, particularly when Harley may be caught up living her own fantasy with Dylan.
