Maureen Garrett Returns To Guiding Light.

This year has already meant a string of returns, now Guiding Light fans can add another character to the list. Maureen Garrett has been snagged to make a return appearance on the series as Holly Reade. After originating the role all the way back in 1976, she coming back to tie up some story strands this August.

The character was last seen onscreen in 2006, though she was still sporadically mentioned as being in town all the way up to 2007. She then left town after Blake woke up from her coma, spent time with her own mother before she passed on, toured around Europe and spent some time in Toronto. What brings her back, and why, isn't certain but considering who intimately she has touched so many lives in Springfield, for good and bad, it's sure to be an exciting event.

Soaps.com is happy to welcome her back! Look for her to make her first appearance on August 26.

its a bount time they bring hear back she was good person back then. am happy for hear, i hope hear and dr ed ricks dad get back they should, they wera good, am happy she comeing back. dont let the show end its bad move to to cbs, hope there a way to save the show, guilding light should brinb back phillp othere son zax back to now he needs his kids all there. bring all hid kids back. and bring back cassie hear sons to.they should bring back eveyone that means alot to the show trht naver should of left at all. that went bad when everyone lift. happy for holly. wear has danny and ed been,

I was hoping she'd get to make a guest appearance and YES, some body needs to "tie up some loose ends" on the show...so thanks............AND PLEASE FIND A MIRACLE CURE FOR PHILIP soon. Hope the camping trip will be funny.

All though I am pretty sure she didn't originate the role of Holly (there was another actress whom I also liked in the role) she surely made the character her own. Her chemistry with Michael Zaslow as Roger was wonderful. They both were my favorite couple for many years. I am so glad she will return for the end.
