Following on the many returns which Springfield will see before it ends in September, the return of a few more characters from the past has been announced. Morgan Englund will be coming back this summer as Dylan Lewis. He was last seen in the role in 2006, after which the role was played by Brian Gaskill. Even more surprising, however, is the news that Melissa Hayden will be back to play Bridget Reardon.
Hayden played the role of Bridget from 1991 until 1997 and picked up a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in 1994. After her departure, she dropped out of acting. Although details about the specific why and when of the returns of both characters is still sketchy, audiences can look forward to seeing them make an appearance in August.
