How dare they cancel the longest running show!! Where do they get their ratings from? Every soap fan I know watches G.L.

This breaks my heart. I have been watching this show for about 40 yrs and i love it. PLEASE LET THIS BE AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY GL OFF!

I am not surprised. I saw a fast decline after the writers strike. The show is boring, slow paced and terrible filming.

So long and good ridance!

I stopped taping Days Of Our Lives for Guiding Light back in 1996-97. Josh & Reva were what got me hooked then and still keeps me hooked today. I'm probably one of the few that still use a dvd/vcr, so I can tape GL and watch when I come home from work. This truly saddens me!! I had recently went back to watching Days, but left again when they took off my favorite supercouple from the show, and now this!! GL was my last soap that I really enjoyed. Crazy!! I do agree w/cheryl69, please put Josh&Reva back together before GL is gone for good!

I'm 37 and I watched the show as a kid. It was the best on TV then. I just haven't been able to follow it in the last decade.I must say I'm not surprised to hear this news. I would like to see another soap in that spot. I hope not a talk show or a judge show.

Really sad and heartbreaking news, I wonder how will they end the show

This is very sad news. I have been watching GL for over 20 years. Who would cancel the longest running show? Why not fire all the show execs and replace them with fresh talent?
