Casting News! Tom Wiggin to Appear on Guiding Light. Wednesday, September 10 2008

Soaps.com has learned that Guiding Light viewers can look forward to seeing a familiar face return to their screens soon. Tom Wiggin, best known for his portrayal of Kirk Anderson on fellow P&G soap As the World Turns from 1988 until 1999, will be making his way to Springfield. He'll be taking on the role of a corporate mogul by the name of Decker (you may have heard Bill and Lizzie drop the name a few times already this week).

This isn't the actor's first time coming to Guiding Light either. Back in 1999 he popped up as Sam Kershaw but has also lent his talents to other sudsers, both primetime and daytime. He was featured on Hotel and St. Elsewhere, and played Gil Fenton on Another World and Joe Foster on Texas. Most recently he's appeared in the films Exposed and Diggers as well as the series The Bronx is Burning where he plays Whitey Ford. A New York native, he is currently at work developing a politically themed game show.

Look forward to seeing Wiggin onscreen beginning on Monday, September the 15th.
