Guiding Light's Marcy Rylan Joins The Adventures of Walter Bloom

Tuesday, June 17 2008

Marcy Rylan (CBS)
Guiding Light's Marcy Rylan (Lizzie Spaulding) has been keeping busy with other projects. Although she is currently involved in the new film Stray (see article here), she has also signed on to work on yet another film. Rylan recently took on the role of Jeanie Wray for the upcoming feature The Adventures of Walter Bloom. Written by up and coming talents Don Money, Ryan Aynes and Michael Posillico the film tells the story of the world's most deformed man as he heads out on a cross-country rampage to discover a reason to live. If he can't find it by the time his birthday arrives in two weeks, suicide will be the only option.

The eccentric comedy has just entered production with a tiny cast and production unit. It is being created by Money Raynz Productions, a small independent production company which started up in 2003 as a project for friends Don Money and Ryan Aynes. Aynes is the director of The Adventures of Walter Bloom while Money is serving as one of the lead actors and co-producer. Money himself has a history in soaps. He appeared on As the World Turns last year and appeared on Guiding Light earlier this year as one of Cassie's flirtations.

A release date for the film is not yet available. Soaps.com sends out congratulations to Marcy for landing another role which we're sure will spread a little more of her acting magic around the world.

I listened to Guiding Light on the radio when I was very young and now when I watch it on TV I can only think that the commercials take up more time than the actual show. It is thoroughly annoying and it is not in the best interests of viewers to have so much of the showtime used on commercials.

I hated to see the old Lizzie replaced but it wasn't long until Marcy made the role totally her and I love her in it. I wouldn't want her to be held back from anything but I also sure hate to think we will probably lose our Lizzie again. Good luck Marcy in whatever you do.
