Rick screams in jail. He threatens to start singing if they don't bring him food. He starts singing "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and shouting but there is no reaction. Finally, Mallet brings him some stale donuts.
Cyrus goes to Company and sits with Beth. He gives her a present for the baby and starts to flirt with her, suggesting that Rick is a mess without her. She accuses him of trying to play her. She knows that Rick is going up against Harley and he's just trying to interfere. Later, Rick walks Cyrus outside and tells him he should stay away from Harley if he knows what's good for him. "You should do the same," Cyrus grins as he walks away. Later, Beth tells Rick that she keeps expecting Alan to swan in and try to charm her away. Rick tells her that he is having Alan tracked. "I'm not losing you," he says. Beth seems worried by the tone of his voice.
Harley and Cyrus are stripping off in the backseat of her car in the parking lot of Company. Inside the restaurant, Marina prompts Rick and Frank to go and get her. She watches as the men approach Harley's car. She expects something to happen but, instead, Frank finds his sister alone and buttoning up her shirt. Rick notices that her pants are unbuttoned as well. Harley claims that she's been having a panic attack and started ripping off her clothes. The men seem to accept this and they head back inside. Marina stands watching and telling Daisy how much she loves Cyrus. Daisy can tell; she gets the same stupid look on her face whenever Rafe is around. Rafe suddenly appears and she and Rafe wander across the room. They talk about his mother and about how much they miss being intimate. It's more than sex, of course, because they have history now.
Outside of Company, Rick stops Harley to quiz her about her panic attacks. He's worried that they could be putting his son in danger. What if she had an attack while driving their son? She assures him that will never happen but he won't accept that. "None of your children should be in a car with you right now," he says. It's time for Jude to live with him. Harley says this isn't about her, it's about Rick's fear of losing his daughter. He won't answer this and walks away.
Inside Company, Jude asks Harley where the trophies are. Marina asks as well but Frank takes the blame. Cyrus escorts Jude away and Marina asks Harley what really happened. Harley claims she had another attack. Pointing out how messed up her aunt's appearance is, Marina comments that, "You must have really been panicking?" Rick takes his son and leaves. After an awkward pause, Harley follows and Cyrus tells Marina he has to leave to do some work on a case.
Rick arrives to see Beth at the bar. She repeats that she is serious about what she said yesterday. She will do whatever she has to for her baby; even if that means putting all the blame on Josh and Cassie. Rick asks her to come to the party for the boys basketball team. He can give her a normal life; something Alan can't give her, he says. This doesn't calm her anger.
At Company, Josh tries to set up the TV for the boys. Harley takes him aside and blurts out that she is in love with Cyrus. She realizes he wasn't seriously asking for her confession before but she quickly starts rambling and telling him all the details of her affair. She wants to minimize Marina's pain but Josh doesn't see how she can do that. Is Cyrus worth losing Marina and Frank's respect? Harley wonders if Frank wouldn't be happy that she took Cyrus away from his daughter. Soon after, Rick arrives with a grim look on his face. Josh tells him that the truth had to come out at some point. Rick still can't believe that Reva ratted him out. He makes it clear that he won't be letting go of Beth or the little girl and implies that Josh and Cassie are the ones who should take the blame. Josh can hardly believe what he's hearing, but Rick promptly walks away to watch highlights of the basketball game with his son. Afterwards, Rick continues to argue with Josh, laying all the blame on him.
Back at Company, Josh tries to comfort a depressed RJ. He needs him to be strong for Cassie though, especially after she's just lost Will. Cassie suddenly arrives and starts talking to them. She has some pizza with her son and then sneaks off to call Chad and check that their plan will still be going into action. He agrees that he will let her sign Will out for the morning...as long as she brings him back. She smiles deviously. Rick watches at a distance and tries to suppress his anger at Cassie. Harley holds him back and he tells her how much he needs Beth and the baby. He realizes that sometimes you have to put your own needs on the backburner though.
Beth takes the baby to see Rick to get her checked out. She tells him that they can't call the baby Bernadette. This upsets him, but Beth reminds him that the baby isn't a Bauer. He can't let go of that idea, he says. Beth takes his hand and asks him to go and see Lizzie with her. They go off to meet Lizzie and run into Mel. She eagerly holds the baby and asks them what she's called. She tells them that Alan's lawyers keep calling her and she offers to help them fight him off if they need her. It won't be easy, however, because Alan is the father and they kept him from the baby. The only thing they can do is frustrate him enough so that he'll do something illegal. That sounds good to Rick. Beth takes the crying baby away to feed her and Mel tells Rick it's time to cut his losses. When Beth returns, she tells Rick that she doesn't want a judge to decide what happens to her baby; she's sick of being a victim. She's going to take care of things this time. She tells him they will put all the blame on Cassie and tell the judge that Josh threatened him into go along with it. Rick is reluctant, but Beth is certain that this is the only thing to do.
Rick walks home to see Beth. She still wants some space. He starts asking about the baby and telling her that DNA doesn't matter. If that were true, he and Cassie wouldn't have been lying about it, she points out. Rick claims that Alan only collects children. Beth accuses Rick of being just like Alan and willfully stealing another man's child. He still insists that he is right and that they belong together. Josh knocks on the door. Beth tells Rick to leave so that she can talk to him alone. After Rick leaves, Beth tells Josh that she never thought that Rick could hurt her like this. Loving him might not be enough to get through this, she admits. Seeing that she is seeking advice, Josh admits that if he knew how to magically save a marriage, he'd be using it to save his own. He explains that they want things to be the way they were at the beginning, but people change and that complicates things.
