He's My Son. He's Gone.

Ashlee and Daisy go to the mini mart to buy tissues. Ashlee sobs and asks where Grady is. Daisy says they can go without him. Before they can leave, Grady arrives. Daisy is cool with him as they walk out.

Buzz returns to Company and sits outside with Lillian. He asks her to look out for his kids better than he has. She hopes they can get through this. "I don't know if I want to," he whispers. As they walk inside, Ashlee, Grady and Daisy arrive and watch them. Ashlee talks about how Coop was her first love. Grady wants to pay his respects to the family. Daisy tells Ashlee to go ahead inside. After she goes in, Daisy ushers Grady from the door and over to the funeral home. Inside, Ashlee hugs Buzz. Lizzie arrives and gives him a hug too, telling him that she loved his son a lot. She takes her mother by the arm and they walk out.

Ashlee is the next up. She says that being with Coop was like being in a movie. He was her hero and she always thought their movie would end differently. She begins crying and sits down. Buzz comes up. He tells them how proud he was of his son. He wanted him to grow up with Jenna so that he could be more like her. Although he's thankful for every moment he had with him, he can't believe that there will be no more. "He's my son. He's gone. And there's nothing more to say," he intones.

Welcome Home Phillip.

Mallet and Marina are at Cedars with Ashlee and Daisy. Marina drifts off and Frank comes in looking for Buzz. Mallet tracks Marina down the hall. She forbids him to tell her things will be okay. He hands her a valentine. It's actually a get well card for a kid. She didn't get him a card but she got him a mug that says 'kiss me I'm a new dad'. The thought of them getting a baby is the bright spot that keeps her going. They kiss. Frank walks by still searching for his father. He's afraid that he's run off like usual.

Frank hands Daisy a gift from Grady. Ashlee asks her what's going on. Daisy has been keeping him away to avoid adding more stress to the family.

Lillian tells the family that the surgery has gone as well as can be hoped but there will be awhile before they know more. She lets them in to visit two at a time. Ashlee and Daisy go first. Ashlee sobs and tells him that he has always been her hero. Daisy thinks he can do that because he always flies under the radar of her crazy family. "What you did today was legendary. I need to believe in guys like you Coop," she adds. Ashlee begs Coop to have a happy ending. He groans so they rush out to tell everyone that he's wake. Mallet and Marina go in next. "Our family spends too much time in this place," Coop gasps. They joke around and Marina suggests that they all go on vacation and tells him about her adoption news. They tell each other how much they love each other. He calls for Beth.

Ashlee and Daisy walk around looking for a doctor. Ashlee wonders if it was her voice that woke Coop up. He's been the best part of her life and she ruined things with him. She wonders if they could have another chance and admits that she never stopped loving him.

It's My Fault.

Ashlee rushes into Company after Daisy calls her. She's eager to go over to the hospital and check on Coop, even if his new girlfriend is probably there. Daisy tells her who his new girlfriend is. Ashlee's baffled to hear it's Beth. Daisy sadly tells her about how everyone's love affairs are failing. She hasn't talked to Grady about any of this. After another car crash, it's probably not a good time for him to be around. They begin clearing tables. Ashlee admits that she should go and see Coop, but she doesn't want to because she's too 'weirded out'. Daisy assures her that Coop will get better. Buzz returns and anxiously runs by to prepare food. Ashlee decides she should leave. Daisy follows her grandfather into the kitchen. She tells him that no one will expect him to bring them food in the hospital. "It's my fault," he says. He breaks down, sure that his advice pushed Coop into this. Daisy thinks his advice was wonderful. "Look where it got my son," he says. When he saw Coop run off to stop the wedding, he looked so alive but now...

Trust Is Not A Feeling.

Ashlee is on the phone with her mother as she walks through the parking lot. Doris teases her about Grady. When Ashlee turns the corner, she spots Grady roughing up Hudson on Doris' orders. After Grady sends him off, he finds Ashlee hiding behind a mailbox. He wonders if she will criticize him for what he does but she doesn't. Cyrus arrives and aggressively pulls his brother aside. He demands to know where Lizzie is. Grady claims he wouldn't risk what he has now. As the brothers bicker, Daisy and Ashlee arrive. Daisy tells them that she talked to Alan and Lizzie will be back later. Cyrus wants to check for himself. The girls demand to go along. Daisy and Cyrus go off to look for her together, leaving Ashlee and Grady to pair off.

Grady takes Ashlee to a bar. The mother of Hudson, the man who Grady was threatening, arrives with her son trailing after her. She threatens to have her friends kill Grady. Ashlee stands up for him, saying that he is a respected member of society and warns that she can have her charged. The woman and her son whimper and run away. Ashlee and Grady laugh.
